Jack Herer - Grow Space

So I’ve got 4 Jack Herer’s growing and I’m wondering if I may have a grow space issue in the future. Currently on my 4th week from seedlings. Topped them about 3 days ago.

First time growing Jack Herer’s and not sure what to expect size wise. Tent is 3ft x 3ft x 6ft.
Should I just go with it or pull a plant or two?

Four plants are a bit much for a 3x3. I would flip early or cull a plant or 2.

Whatever you do, be certain that you are trimming to maintain good airflow within the plants’ canopies. You are going to have a crowded tent.

Definitely appreciate the input. Planning on pruning the lower leaves in about 3 days. Concerned about adding too much stress to the plants after just topping. Maybe I’m being too cautious.

Hate the idea of culling but it does seem to me that space will be an issue soon. I want to maximize yield but not at the expense of plant health.

Maximizing yield is about healthy plants rather than having too many that struggle because of overcrowding.

Very good point

Going to outgrow it. If photo guaranteed. My herer is tall and wide. Go straight up no train if have to keep 4 in.

I’ve been there. Flip early as mentioned above and you will produce more than if you let those go to far in veg. If you let it go too long, even with constant puning/trimming you will have a totally unmanageable canopy.

I’d like to keep them in veg for a least another 5 to 6 weeks, so I guess it would be best to reduce down to 2 plants. Are Jack Herer yields decent?

I have a 3x3 and in the beginning I always had 3-4 plants going, big mistake. As they said above, it’s going to get VERY crowded. That was about 4 years ago, and now I never do more than one plant at a time. usually end up with a pound. It still gets crowded but that’s because I don’t flip until it get’s between 4-5 feet tall. Good luck with yours.

I try not to make a habit of caring what others are doing, but this makes zero sense to me. You have 4 healthy plants that will provide a full canopy pretty quickly. Getting rid of some to run a longer veg time will cost money in power bill and nutrients. A full 3x3 will yield about the same whether it has 2 plants or 4 plants.

I’d keep the 4 and flip them when the space starts filling up. This is the most efficient way to go from where you’re at to where you want to be.
