Is this yellowing bad, or can I fix problem?

My plant until now has been very healthy through its life. I’m 5-6 weeks into flower and it’s yellowing pretty alarmingly fast. Still seems healthy but it’s concerning. Strain is feminized Gold Leaf, soil with synthetic nutes (fox farm trio) 3x3 grow tent with 2 150w led lights about 20ish inches from canopy. Thanks for your time.

Nothing to be concerned about @BadMandroid. What you’re seeing is the plant pulling nutrients from the leaves during flower. You can pluck them off as you go or let them fall off on their own. (I pluck) this is 100% normal.

Welcome to the group! Yellowing of the lower leaves is normal. As mentioned above, you can just pluck them

Do you check runoff numbers? And have you done the maintenance flushed with the FF? They look a bit high on nitrogen with the dark clawed leaves, which means your ph is probably low….

I grow with the ff trio. If you answer these questions I can maybe help.

Exactly what light do you have?

How many plants are in there?

You say feminized seeds. Autoflower feminized or photoperiod feminized?

What kind and what size of pots are you in? [Looks like fabric but can’t quite tell.]

You said soil what kind name brand of soil?

Are the pots sitting on the floor of the tent or do you have then on something?

If on something what?

How do you mix the trio nutes?

Do you add anything else to the nutrients?

How often do you water?

Do you mix in the trio every time you water?

Do you have a ppm and ph meter?

If you answer all of these questions maybe we can get these back on track.

You can call someone like this @DRsDank

I thought so too. Just a little scared to send her into shock or stunt the process. How much do you think I should take off?

Seems ph is high at about 7.0-7.1 no matter what I water it with(6.5 ish give or take a point or two) never checked my runoff.

I’ll do my best to answer, 2 separate lights, 150w led lights one is generic and the other is vivosun 100w (vs1000/100-277) 1 plant, gold Leaf feminized photoperiod, plastic pot I think it’s 7.5 gallon with holes drilled in the bottom, and few around sides for airflow. Soil is ffof with perlite added, maybe 10 percent. Liked the bottom of the pot with drainage fish tank rocks for extra drainage before final transplant. Pot is lifted about 6 inches off ground with a milk crate, and a pan to catch water for removal after watering. Only using ff tiger bloom at this point, between 2.5-3 teaspoons to a gallon every other water. Water every days, until 3 days last time to see how long it takes for her to get thirsty. No ppm meter, ph like I said seems consistent at 7-7.1 in soil different parts all ready the same. Thanks for your time

If you don’t check runoff, you don’t know what ph is then. Input mabey but you need yo know what’s happening at the roots!

Without a ppm meter this will be tough. Could I get a picture of the bottom of the plastic pots. Do you pick up the pots to see if they are very light? Befor watering. Plastic pots do two things retain excess water and don’t allow enough feed intervals because they don’t dry fast enough. I was thinking over watering from the beginning. Plastic pots will work but need like 50 to a hundred 3/8 or 1/2 holes dlilled between the bottom and sides. IMO.
The ff trio is ment to be used together. You don’t always have to use all three but in flower big bloom and tiger bloom is necessary. Ph’d to 6.5 to 6.8. If your run off ph is 7 or above go with 6.5 for a nutrient solution use 1 teaspoon big bloom 1 teaspoon tiger bloom 1/3 teaspoon grow big and 1/2 teaspoon epsom salt.
If you can buy a ppm meter. This will be easier with it. Ppm should be between 800 and a 1000.
I have this cheap ppm meter. I don’t use the ph meter that comes with it.

VIVOSUN Digital pH and TDS Meter Kits, 0.01pH High Accuracy Pen Type pH Meter ± 2% Readout Accuracy 3-in-1 TDS EC Temperature Meter for Hydroponics, Pool and Aquarium, Yellow Blue, UL Certified Amazon.com: VIVOSUN Digital pH and TDS Meter Kits, 0.01pH High Accuracy Pen Type pH Meter ± 2% Readout Accuracy 3-in-1 TDS EC Temperature Meter for Hydroponics, Pool and Aquarium, Yellow Blue, UL Certified : Industrial & Scientific

Just to let you know my ff trio mix in flower is generally but not always this.
6 gallons of water 1 shot glass of big bloom 1 shot glass of tiger bloom 1/4 shot glass grow big to start. Then I check ppm if not between 800 and 1000 I add a little more big bloom and tiger bloom in equal amounts until it is. Then I add a tablespoon of predisolved in hot water epsom salt.
This is not per gallon it is for the whole 6 gallons.
I take it very light with the grow big unless I see a nitrogen deficiency. From mid flower on I give no grow big at all both of the others have some nitrogen and very little is needed from mid flower to finish IMO and experience. Also to my understanding grow big is where most of the salts are that they tell you to flush.
Anyway see about getting that meter if possible.

Defoliate enough to get air flow through the plant and expose the hidden bud sites. Like
Most growers I do a preflower, day 21 and 42 of flower defoliation :love_you_gesture:

Preflower defoliation

6 week flower defoliation

Googled teaspoons to a shot. 9 teaspoons to a shot equals 1.5 teaspoons to a gallon in my 6 gallon solution.

I second that. Saggy leaves a bit. How wet is the soil? Look good.

The soil is on the dry side, but not co.pletely dry. I have been watering with 1 gallon at a time every 2, and a couple times 3 days. Just to make sure I’m not overdoing it with the water. Yes droopy leaves that was one of the 3 day wait periods. Still getting the yellowing, but plant overall still seems happy. Ppm meter is on the way. Hope it’s not too late. I think I should still have at least 3 weeks.
