I looked at a few other topic’s on light burn but I am still not sure, 24" from canopy, gave cal mag last feeding just in case w/ FF grow big 1st time but had this before feeding. Maybe just a newbe worrying to much.
If ur worried u can raise ur light about half a foot ur turn down ur lights intensity
Cannabis plants will show a number of key signs when they’re getting too much light. The most obvious indicator is leaf burning . This typically causes yellow leaves at the top of the plant directly under the grow lights. While the inside veins stay green, the leaves take on a yellow, burnt look.
It does not appear to be light burn as I’ve had it several times lol. It almost looks like it is super faint nute. Urn. What’s the ppms I r feeding at??? I’d do maybe a water only with calmag at 5ml per gallon PhD for the next feed. What’s the soil imma go look but Incase it is not stayed what medium and nutes u got light ect going to look so if u posted it don’t worry about posting again as I will see it.
Ff nutes. They run hott and I’m most positive requires a flush every so often. If ur not deep into it with the FF Utes I’d switch as they r expensive and that required flush is a pain. I think @BobbyDigital used to use FF nutes and can better explain them. Seeing them nutes tho I believe it’s a slight nute burn now I see it’s ff nutes
Welcome to the community , overall I think you’re plants look good. I don’t see no light burn.
Its off to a great start .
Only used FF grow big twice 1st time less than half of what was called for and 2nd time 1/2 of what was called for I used 2 tsp for a 1-1/2 gal and Cal Mag 1 tsp and the watering was about 2 weeks apart. I have only been ckn PH in water, just got a cheap ph meter for the soil but I don’t think it work very well, when I tested my run off I got ph 5 and this meter says 8 for the soil ?. I have never ckd ppm not sure how to but I am learning lol, I just don’t want to learn the hard way. thanks for you comments
I could use a little advise on when to go 12/12, I am concerned with my light height. There White Widow Feminized 8 weeks old from planting.
Now is a good time. Your gonna have a tent ful for sure. They look great! Keep’em growin!
Your girls look good to me my freind.
Your right about the soil ph thingy, they never work good.
I do suggest you spend some time here reading or watching some YouTube, if seeing things helps you learn better. It sure does me…
But learn about ppm (parts per million) or tds (total dissolved solids) both refer to the amount of nutrients in the water… …
But this will be very crucial very soon as thry begin to flower they will need fed…
It can seem so confusing, but i promise if you just keep watching YouTube and tag me if you have any questions, all of a sudden it will just click and you’ll have it down pat
I see nothing suggesting any light issues, once they go into flower you will possibly want the lights closer. That is if you do your homework with the tds/ppm so you can feed them a proper diet and make them beg fir more light
They will reward you very nicely if you do my freind…
They look great, but know that they are possibly going to double in hight during flower, so like @HappyHydroGrower advised now is a good time to flip
Once you flip to flower they go into high gear.
They are absolutely ready to flip if you want to all but the couple little ladies of course, but i strongly advice you get an understanding of tds in and out before you flip them.
They will need fed once they start flower.
But you got this
The light on the left is more stronger than the light on the right , you might have to lwer the right light so the plants can catch up to the left side .
You can pick up a cheapy ppm meter off Amazon for like 10. Sucks. The vivosun ppm meter it’s blue and cheaply prices. Now for a pH meter ur gonna want atleast a apera pH 20 and I would not go any cheaper than an apera I can get the apera pH 60 does pH and ppm for about 110 bucks on Amazon. Shop around and see what u can get. Apera Hannah or blue lab pH and ppm meters anything cheaper will not for for very long if it works proper to start. Good luck they Dr not looking bad. I’d flip like now as they will double in size for the most part.
Thanks Mark, I was looking at the PH 20, PH 60, and the EC60 last night, going PH60, and I read a bit on it, so what I was reading said you need to get the soil from the btm root area how do you do that with out digging thru roots, I am going to crash course this cause tonight they go 12/12 and I need to be ready.
I got a little stretching when I turned the light down thinking I had light burn, got it back up so I hope that slows down, I do have a few newbe question, do you leave the fans on when the lights go out, so far I have everything turning off at the same time for 6 hr and turning back on. my humidifier only last 6 hrs before refilling so I am getting another one so I have 12 hrs with out opening up. I am up to all the help, advise and input I can get. My to little ones will have to go outside but that was the plan anyway.
I have the PPFD set the same for both @ canopy top but, I am lowering the light to see if it will catch up.
Thanks
I don’t think I’m seeing any light burn, I’m absolutely seeing a few beast a$$ plants tho. Nice job growmie
Not from the bottom from an inch or 2 from under top soil in layer as far down as u can go without harming roots if possible. I always give a super good water til runoff and collect runoff to check the numbers. If u soak the whole pot slowly it will saturate all the dirt and when the water comes out the bottom it will bring out whatever is not being used up by the plant and u’ll know if it is eating or not.
