I found this today only in one place on one plant. I didn’t touch it until I carefully inspected all plants, then, I cut it plus 4 inches off and heavily sprayed everything on all plants w the potassium bicarbonate mix that has prevented mold so far. What do you think?
Def bud rot.
You did the right thing by cutting and tossing.
Thanks for the ID. First time I’ve seen it in person.
Try hydrogen peroxide and water at 50/50. I’ve never seen issues using H2O2.
If the dreaded budrot shows up I spray it with hydrogen peroxide/water mix before I cut it.,by doing this way the rot spores are not fryable (air bourn).
I learned this in my work.,while removing asbestos from piping we were working on. My way of thinking I believe it’s the same principle.
This practice has worked for me to help control the issue.just my .02cents.
Keep a eye out for more, I battled it for 3 weeks and sprayed the Peroxide treatment and finaly got ahead of it, look for lil caterpillars they seem to help cause it along with damp weather and lower temps, I am no expert but had help here to get on with growing and no more Bud Rot yet, getting close to chopping, drying, and curing season
I’ve had spiders that crawl into the bud and lay eggs cause it too. You can catch it early by looking and seeing for a single small leaf coming out of the bud with abnormal yellowing or browning on it while the others of same size and location arouinf the bud look healthy.
Some bud rot my friend
Watch closely for spreading. As much as it sucks sometimes the best bet is to cut early and bud wash. Had to harvest my GSCE early this year for the same reason. Still ended up being great
