I’m really at a crossroads here…I don’t know where to begin. Let’s say just to save reading, this plant pictures below is a Wedding Cake ILGM seed. I started the seed in a peat pellet and transplanted at the point roots began to show through membrane of pellet. It’s in it’s final home of 2 1/2 g plastic pot with perfect drainage. I used about a coverage of stones in the bottom and filled with FFOF. Didn’t check ph ever. Never cared about rh/temperature/VPD…anything!! I used a germination/seedling full spectrum bulb for the first 8 weeks. I didn’t know anything at that point. My brother had given me about a hundred ILGM seeds of various strains he purchases and once his work became more time consuming he couldn’t grow. He only said, " Just put them in dirt and let them grow they’re all autoflower and easy to grow. He neglected to tell me his grow room was an entire room or that he had proper lighting and circulation. He didn’t tell me anything. I guess he’s lost total interest in growing because weed is inexpensive here and very good quality. So if I didn’t have time to grow I’d buy it as well. Anyway…so here’s the pictures. Help figure out what to do with this plant…I now, since getting my girl back I’ve read, researched, studied, and asked questions here. My brother has given me advice since getting it back and saw I was serious about growing. So he gave me this forum and thanks to everyone here I’ve gained so much.
So. What advice does anyone have for this plant. I’m open to suggestions and thoughts. BTW, I’ve had my girl back 7 weeks and have since gotten everything needed to grow properly except for the ducts, inline fan, and exhaust. My ph/ec/ppm is dialed in as well as environmental inside the 2.7’ x 2.7’ tent. Ask any questions as well. I’d like to tag @Venturi…He’s been very helpful with answers and suggestions and exceptional patience with question and lack of understanding. Whoops!!! @DanB. I truly am sorry. I’ve misread the journal I kept up when I germinated the Wedding Cake. I use the Mary Jane app and was probably smoking when I looked at the date I started. It’s September 1st. I apologize to everyone for translating wrong information. So, it’s exactly 12 weeks old. I hope ya’ll still join this with interest in the actual stage it’s in. I see plenty of pistols. White in color. I measured today, it’s 6 2/3" T…I’m wondering why after 12 weeks it’s only that tall since I think it grows 5-6’ tall. Could a photoperiod get mixed up in the bag of autoflower seeds I purchased?? I guess stuff happens. Idk…
You didn’t mention (or I didn’t see) what you are using for a grow light. Your plant is very small for its age. Also, I doubt that it is an auto-flower. An auto would have flowered by now. If you want it to flower change to a 12/12 light schedule.
Do a quick search to find the support ticket and fill it out. It will give a better idea of where you are and how you got there.
Edit: 12 weeks old does not change my answer.
Likely lack of light and root bound due to tiny pot.
No problem brother I’m still along for the ride. And @merlin44 thank you for jumping in. I was at a loss of thoughts and words lol. And @420dOG stranger things have happened. I ordered Feminized seeds from another bank an received regular photoperiod seeds lol found out when I got a male
@merlin44…current i have a vivosun system throughout using the Aerolight 1000se. 100W full spectrum. I’ve got it set to 79% intensity at 18/6. Mostly for the early veg of my(Moonberry Kushrocks) other girl who shares the light for now. I plan on getting a bigger light in January. I only figured I’d keep the plant after getting it back for educational and experimental purposes but now have grown fond of her and want to see her grow. Lol…I don’t know where to begin because I could trip on her all day. I’m just intrigued. Thanks for your interest. Hell, maybe she’ll yield a bud or two. Below are photos of the Moonberry Kushrocks I’ve got that’s 17 days old. She’s my first real interest and the one that will get optimal everything.
@merlin44…excellent advice. This vivosun Aerolight 1000se. 100W is capable of connecting another light and it’ll definitely benefit from the Aerowing 150w which has wings to adjust par with the tilt/raise outside wings of light. Is 150w ok?? For two or should I piggyback the same light I’m currently using?? The Aerowing looks effective but wattage is different.
The Aerowing 150w is fully extended too big for a 2x2 I was just looking it up last night and watched someone trying to put it in a 2x2 tent. Wings need bent at all times. And won’t be able to close door fully at top it sticks out like 2 inches.
2 lights in there is too much. You’ll be running them both at half power for the heat but mostly intensity of the light. Trust me i tried this with 2 aerowing 150e lights and i ended up just buying a 2nd tent cause 2 lights didnt work. Your one light at 100% is more than enough for that space. As far as autoflowers, sometimes they dont grow tall until the stretch in flower. My current auto flowered at just 7"inches tall. i was gonna write her off but now i have a 1.5’ little christmas tree. Just my 2 cents.
@DanB…I think I can piggyback another 100W aerolight 1000se. The vivosun system is awesome and affordable so that’s a relief. Limited budget but slowly getting there.
Maybe it’s me, I don’t see a single pistol anyplace on the plant. It’s definitely not an autoflower or it would be close to done by now. Not to mention you won’t see pistols with an 18-6 light cycle on a photo
I have to agree with @merlin44 it’s a combination of the pot size and inadequate lighting and I’m sure the list goes on
I also agree with @MidwestGuy the plant looks totally healthy.
What was your last runoff PPM and pH?
I also don’t see any mention of what you’re feeding the plant and how much?
@Lostgirl…I’m sorry to you for not tagging you because I love reading everything you say on here. Maybe I didn’t sending the right photo to see the pistols. Not enough really to say anything but I can see them when I zoom in.
