Is this calcium deficiency or a watering burn?

Been watering with ph 6.3 water so I’m not sure if that’s the issue. I noticed I gave it nitrogen burn trying to feed getting ready for flower but I just noticed this discoloration. It’s only present on one leaf of both plants and closest to where I water. All I can see is calcium deficiency but I’ve been using cal mag almost every watering. I was wondering if since the leaf on each plant is the closest to me when watering if maybe the water did something to the plant. This last watering was just fish shit and cal mag due to the nitrogen toxicity.

Only new thing I’ve done is get the light levels to where they should be with a photo bio and not give any nutrients but cal mag. Is this light burn, calcium issue or water burn?

The white in the picture on the leaves is just diatomaceous earth. Also read calcium deficiency doesn’t show on lower leaves its new growth and leaf tips. Could this possibly be a fungus?

Doubt its a Calmag deficiency. What kind of soil?
Ive had water splash on leaves during lights on and had spots apear. But they were not near as small as yours.
Id water to runoff the test tds and pH there. But it doesn’t look bad.

A bag of Kellogg organic potting mix, some of my compost and worm castings. I wanted to do the organic route due to not worrying about ph as much. I was also reading this could be a fungus but it’s only affecting one leaf of both plants. Also weird it’s the closest to where I water, my first grow that’s gone this long so hoping someone knows.

The soil may be at issue. I’d keep away from home depot soil. The soil itself often is not buffered to a usable pH. Lots of good choices. I have been using fox farm ocean forest.
If you have the ability to test the pH of the soil it would likely tell you a lot

Anyone else have any troubleshooting ideas? I’ve checked for bugs with microscope and don’t understand why it’s one lower leaf.

Now it’s turning black in some spots.

If it’s just one leaf don’t sweat it. I have weird stuff like that happen. Don’t worry till you see it on more than one leaf. Other than that it looks outstanding :+1::+1: :v::call_me_hand:

What a relief, thanks growmie. Looks like it is starting on other leaves so I’ll monitor.

Does your nutrients have calcium and magnesium if not and that spotting isn’t getting better get some cal mag and start using it. It’s the most common nute problem grower’s have. :v::call_me_hand:

I would have to look a little more into them I’ve only top dressed Craft Blend once and some liquid kelp but I make sure to use cap mag most waterings. Next grow I will go with a medium designed for cannabis instead of my own concoction. Still holding strong though.

I see the nutrient burn on the larger plant so I’ve been doing water only with the occasional recharge and cal mag.

I know a Grower that is amazing at diagnosis of cannabis and I bet money he knows exactly what to do.

@Budbrother can you take a look at this Grower’s plants and give your opinion? Thank you in advance. :v::call_me_hand:

My first thought is pH. I see 6.3 range in posts. That’s low for flowering and uptake of P & Ca. Wonder what the root zone is, so let’s start there. Need slurry test to begin digging further. More pix would be helpful. Can’t take them out of the tent to natural light, so please include a couple darkness shots with flash. That way, I don’t have to compete with the spectrum of light.

Hey @Budbrother very appreciative of the response to help diagnose this. I was just going to let this one ride itself out due to not having much faith in my ph meter. Next grow I’ll go with a ph balanced cannabis soil instead of my own mix. This is my first grow so the big learning curve would be the ph and when to fertilize the plant. Most bags give you an estimate on nutrition availability before supplying your own but mine was up in the air.

Glad to help. I can respect that response. Maybe just water a few times without pH’in the water down. This would elevate levels a bit and maybe alleviate any issues. Then maybe adjust you input to 6.5-6.7 range for smoother uptakes.
