Could be a calcium deficiency. Are you giving Cal-Mag?

Haven’t given anything to the plant but water. Been in Fox Farms ocean. I thought I’d be good without any additives for a bit longer. I’ve read about other Gold Leafs with this issue. Coincidence or potential genetic issue? Next steps?

Is there a specific cal mag brand you use?

I use FF Cal-Mag i bought it when i got my FF trio. Any Cal-Mag would be ok. Just shake it up good

Thanks. Is there any urgency here? It may be tues before I can get cal mag. Is the low ph runoff a significant issue? About 5.8

Tues should be ok. 5.8 is ok what are your PPM # in the run off

For cal-mag, just follow instructions on bottle or go on the lighter side?

Follow the instructions on the bottle. Mine calls for 5 ml per gallon.

I think deepsix is correct, little bit of calcium deficiency there. I would go with about 5ml per gallon for next couple of feedings, if you see it stop spreading you may be able to back off a little bit. You could also bring ph up a little bit if runoff is 5.8. That’s not terrible, but would be a little better if you were low 6’s in the soil.

Remember that your damaged leaves won’t magically get better once issue is corrected.

Awesome. Thanks to you both. Should I go ahead and add to my second plant that is not showing similar signs? 100% same strain and conditions.

Probably wouldn’t hurt. Just mix it in with regular feeding in proper mixing order.

I know nothing about regular feeding and proper mixing order and I don’t expect anyone to lay it all out for me. Can I find all this info in the Grow Bible?

Not sure. You may be able to find on detailed schedule for nutrients you are using.

Calcium doesn’t play nicely with other elements, so it’s usually added first or last with extra stirring and making sure whatever goes in first is completely dissolved.

Thank you. Was planning on no nutes for my first grow. Hoping to be enjoying this hobby for years and baby stepping into the process

Watered tonight with Cal-Mag. Water in was around 6.4. Run off was 5.7. Forgot to check PPM. To get PH up, should I use PH up and add water north of 7? Flush? Add lime?

If you have something like dolomite lime, top dress with something like 1/4 cup and gently work it into your soil a little so it doesn’t turn into a layer of concrete. After you put your stuff if, I would adjust to something like 6.7 but no higher. Maybe mix a little extra so you can get a good amount of runoff. It should start trending up after a couple of feedings and then you can lower what you set ph at some.
