Sorry, the tops and buds were all removed as soon as I found them. I was hoping I might catch it before the entire grow was involved. The only thing a photo would show is some defoliated plants.
I just figured it would show how big your plants are and what you were working with
OK, I’ll put up a pic or 2 tomorrow. Thanks
Best plant of the 5, after pruning. I couldn’t bear to lose the entire top, so I cut off the top 2/3 of the top. The remaining portion appears to be ok so far.
Thanks for the airflow idea. I opened the cloaset door a few inches at night, and added a small fan to provide inflow, the exhaust is at the top, so there should be an increased airflow.
The humidity is an addition for the next grow. The result so far is a minimal appearance of any rot or mold, losing only 1 small bud in the past 2 days.
Thanks for the response. I did remove the effected portions were removed, but I left any portions that looked clean, also added a fan at the bottom and kept the door open a few inches.
I’ve purchased some peroxide, but not used any yet.
The last two weeks my grow room was in the 90s with humidity through the roof (just crazy weather). I kept the exhaust running and two fans blowing on the plants, in full flower, with no issues. Air movement is the key.
After two weeks of crappy conditions
So keep the air moving in there and you should be ok. Regroup and revamp for next grow. You’ll have o e under your belt and the next will hopefully be a little easier
What? Iwas not growing moldy plants. LOL
I like that
Air flow is key. I will not lie. I got away with murder in my first grow. Having autos helped. My humidity was always upper 70% I had 3 fans going and ended up with zero mold. I was in a 4x4 tent. I am running 93 - 97 in my 5’ tent right now. And have to keep a dehumidifier running with the lights out. My humidity still is in the 55 - 60% range. I have a pair of fans running all the time in it. I wish I could have air blowing in through the bottom like normal. But have an open auto tent across from it.
That’s a nice plant. I hope you are able to save most of it.
Ok, it’s Saturday morning. For the past 4 days, I have been leaving the closet door slightly open, and now have a small fan on the floor, blowing into the closet. I have not sprayed or added anything such as peroxide. I did increase the water as the extra air seemed to be drying the soil.
I did have to remove a couple of small buds the first day, but didn’t see any more rot until this morning, when I did find one small bud with a small area with rot. There may be a decent yield, I’m starting to see a few cloudy trichomes, so I’m hoping to harvest soon.
15 day update - no further mold or rot, airflow seems to have resolved the issue. I’m still waiting for the trichomes to either show more cloudy ones, or preferably amber. This is day 119 of this grow… This photo is the most mature of the Blueberry Kush. Another of the 4 BBK is not showing as many yellow leaves. In fact, all four of the plants seem to be still growing. I’m finding tiny leaves with a rich green, healthy appearance. I switched from occasional nutes to plain water weeks ago, guessing that harvest was near. I’m not sure if flushing is required, I’ve read that nutes may be given until harvest.
This is plant 4 of the BBK. It has mostly green leaves, The camera flash washed out some of the color, but it received everything that the 1st lady did, same nutes, watering, lighting, and were planted at the same time. The #2 and 3 plants only reached 1 foot in height, but are very bushy and full of buds.
There is a 5th plant, it is a leftover GirlScout Cookies I had, but it lost a good deal of buds. This is my second grow, and I suppose trying 5 plants restricted the airflow and may have caused the bud issues I had.
I will probably plant 3 plants per light. Fortunately I have a second closet and HLG grow light available.
Thanks to all for the advice, I’ve already learned a lot here.
Peace, Bob
