Ok cool, one more of many questions and thanks for answering my posts.
Do you hang your plants at 55 percent humidity and 65 degrees when curing and wait until branch snaps when dry and then put them in a canning jar and burp it for a week or so?
Not exactly in my case
That sounds like an absolute solid plan though
I struggle with environment for drying .
I wish i could keep that kinda steady numbers, but I try my best to keep the temperature under 70f and around 60% rh.
But even that is almost impossible for me.
My drying is different every time honestly so I basically check it daily and when thicker stems sorta snap or pop when bent or pinched is a sign i look for, I also look for does smaller buds break right off the stems and larger ones maybe still āstringā off a little rather then snap off clean.
A good perk about the grove bags is we can put the bud in them slightly sooner/wetter then into jars where theres no burping them, they automatically regulate RH.
But the method you described would be near perfect conditions if you can achieve that.
If not just think about higher temp and/or lower RH will speed up drying and the lower temps and/or higher RH will slow it.
Really high temperature much over 70 is not good really but itās not going to destroy it.
Iām in South Texas so humidity gets bad here in the summer. Itās a constant battle keeping the temp VPD correct. Itās hardly ever dialed in. I must be doing something wrong or going about it the wrong way.
So what do you think about these pics? This is the dark orange haired plant. I took 3 samples from different branches of mature colas
Hey happy pappy! You still with us?
I am
Sorta
Sry my freind I started back to work a couple weeks ago and just been absolutely overwhelmed trying get customers straightened out
Pictures kinda looks like there is still alot of clear so maybe itās not as ready as it seemed like
Itās got to be very close Iād imagineā¦
Work stress really blows!
Especially customer service. I have my own successful small business and it gets overwhelming at times for sure.
I gave the girls a trim and now they really look like they are ready to depart.
Iām going to take some more close ups.
My curing spot is complete for the most part. Just need to get temp down . Itās currently 57 percent humidity without fan blowing and at 73 degrees.
