Is this a cal mag issue?

I started growing using canna coco as the medium. I feed it canna A and B in addition to canna’s cal mag. A/B using 1 tablespoon and cal mag 1 tsp per gallon of water. I pH it to 6.2. temps about 80-82F with RH around 55-60. They are in 3 gallon fabric pots. I started the mainline process yesterday. If it’s a cal mag issue, can I double the calmag? Lights are about 18" from canopy and ppfd is around 450.

Look good. I dont see any issues from here. Growing fast so color always catching up.

Too soon for calcium deficiencies :love_you_gesture:

What are the spots on the leaves, which I was referring to? Is that normal?

Most likely a little variegation and common. Leaves get blemishes and don’t see a concern, new growth looks healthy :love_you_gesture:

Whew!! Sweet, thanks for confirming. I’m digging the medium. I was using FFOF before

Like almost everything that’s living…bumps, scrapes and bruises happen along the way. Agree and congrats on the medium switch, a lot of growers have been experiencing problems with the FF mediums over the last few years. Is that coco in those bags :love_you_gesture:

In the bag it’s soil and not cocoa and it’s just in a 16 oz cup nothing in it. One last question I have though how often do you water coco? Some people say wait till it’s dry or weighs light and others say because it’s Coco you have to water it sometimes twice a day and treat it like hydroponics, to never let it dry out like you would do with soil

Coco works best when fed daily or at a minimum the coco should remain damp, letting it go dry can create issues with salts and the plants root system. It’s an excellent grow medium, provides a lot of control versus soil and drains very efficiently with added perlite. I switched from soil to coco a little over 3 years ago and haven’t looked back. It’s not amended with nutrients like most ready plant soils and feeding starts during the seedling period or buffer a light nutrient mix with the coco :love_you_gesture:

If you’re talking about the larger fan leaf from the top picture it looks like you may have had a little light burn early on.

It seems the plant in the plastic pot, branch broke off on one side of the manifold when I tried to train it. I tried to tape it back up but after two days, still has not perked up(shriveled). Can I still see it all the way to flower on the other half or should I start all over?

This GSC started as a Manifold and I broke the side growth off one side. Re-trained the remaining side to grow vertical :love_you_gesture:
