Is my girl ready or not?

Im so new to this’ i wouldn’t even say im a newbe. That new. im wondering if this is ready to start the drying or if it needs more time.

Trying to look at the trichomes to see and they look milky but i just wat to be sure.

Auto or photo? How old and how many weeks flowering? What PPFD/hours or DLI?

Generically looks like they need a few more weeks based on the white pistils everywhere (unless they are severely foxtailing):

The foxtaily plants can be difficult because of how many new triches they spit out. They can be pretty even when it comes to clear and cloudy. Best option to do with these is take a sample and see if the effects are to your liking. If they are after a quick dry, they’ll do you well after a slow dry and cure.

Its a grand daddy purple auto. As far as the rest of that info, im going to have to look some of that up and get back with you on that. Im in that learning phase.

If by foxtailing you mean leaves growing out of the bud, then yes it got a lot of foxtailing.

No worries…how many days ago did you plant the auto seed; and what light are you using (assuming indoors)?

Its about 7 week into flowering
It broke out of the dirt may 22nd

Wow, okay…so:

~91 days above ground is probably close…

Those light numbers are likely not actual and I would guess closer to ~$1/watt, so ~100w ish? How far away has it been the last ~2 months?

If you have any other plant pictures, it may help too.

BobbyDigital’s recommendation of sampling is not a bad one…take a piece of the most “done” part…you can always let the rest go a week or two longer/closer to the light.

Not leaves. Buds growing out of your buds to make it simple. A bud with no foxtailing will be shaped similar to a missile. If your bud has “fingers” protruding it is foxtailing.

Sometimes a sign of the light source being too close, some strains are just prone to it…especially auto flowers

It does look like its foxtailing (looks like a bunch of small buds growing in all directions) just not as bad as some pics a saw. Now that i understand it a little better (i think). I also read that grand daddy purples AF are prone to foxtailing.
The ph is ok at 6.8. The ppm on the other hand are really high 3500ish. Guessing i should just use straight up water for a few feedings. Should i ph down my water or is the soil ok at 6.8?
@Mozzy closer? I would of thought further away. I try to keep it close around 5 to 12" pending on the plant itself.

That sounds really high, but I don’t own anything to measure PPM/EC so I’ll let the folks that bottle-feed their plants weigh-in for that part. I roughly PH the water going in to the ~mid-6s with drops by color (only because my tap water is ~8+) and have no idea what soil PH is, or runoff PH (growing in SIPs there is no runoff).

Based on those light specs I doubt your fox tailing is from light stress; and 12" is probably fine (it’ll give more overall coverage than closer). How tall is that guy from the soil for perspective?

14½" at its tallest point from the dirt., it was lst after the 4th node grew in. I might go back to ro water, thought i could get away from ro water (from dwc).

Ah, okay, then that is a thick stump

Make sure you keep your fans on and humidity in check late in flowering like that one is…fyi if it heps:

…and use a sample to see how you feel about it.

Never tried dwc, I started growing in soil with tap water and fine tuned environment and growth cycle knowledge from there. It helps to get comfortable growing a few cycles, you get a lot better by experience, mistakes and learning new things.
