Is male or female better?

Is growing a male a better plant/ smoke, or are both males and females the same as far as high/ smoke etc. Thank you..

Males are not capable of producing the flower that we smoke and male plants contain far less THC and other cannabiniods than females do.

A male plant isn’t really usable beyond using its pollen for breeding for seeds.

Agree with @MidwestGuy , females produce the potent flowers for smoking and other uses. The male plants are usually only used for seeds/breeding purposes. But the THC/CBD/CBG/CBN values are much lower. Hope that helps.

Unless you have never used cannabis before you will not likely get high from male plant leaves or any other part of the male plant.

Even a first time user may not get a buzz, the THC content in males is so low.

If I remember correctly, and I could be totally wrong, but isn’t male plant THC under like 2%? I have seen videos from other countries where they harvest the males and females together and hand beat them for hash making but I would have to look for that again.

I don’t know anything about that. I just know that male plants are worthless for getting a buzz.

This was one of the articles I read, still looking for the video. In no way do I personally think growing males for anything but seeds and breeding, but hey, one mans trash is another mans treasure.

How long do you think it will be before I can tell if the plant is male or female.?

Have you flipped to flower yet? I would guess that you will know for certain within a week or two after flipping. If you veg for 45 days or more, you may see preliminary “balls” before flipping.

The plant is 5 weeks old, and about 13 inches tall.

Preflowers show at sexual maturity. The “when” varies, but usually soon after transitioning from seedling to vegetation phase.
