Is it Time to Harvest These Beauties?

Second Harvest. Had to return here for advice.
Johanna (whom I looove) says “it’s the pistils, man.”
Other growers say it’s the trichomes.
So I have 2 plants, autoflower OG Kush, all in different stages, and I need to know your opinions.

The first, pistils all turned, but trichome cloudiness is a tougher call? I simply can’t see them well enough, even with my jeweler’s loupe.

The second, half the pistils have turned, just uploading for reference.

EDIT: I know I only come here when I need something. I’m like a bad boyfriend.

The reason I ask, some sources really are all about the trichomes - the pistils are just a heads-up to start watching. I’m waiting for obvious signs of adequate cloudiness, by waiting for a few amber trichomes.
I’m just afraid I could be missing something and let them go too far.

Hard to say w/o one of them microscopes. I need to get one too. I think you are definately getting close. Plants look good!

I think you would have to be weeks to far before worrying about ruining them.
Looks like some :fire: smoke!

Much more common to harvest too soon. It is pretty hard to ruin one by waiting too long.

If you think it’s time, and you don’t have a microscope, wait another week is my best suggestion. It’s tough to over ripen one.

It is definitely the trichs. As you mentioned once the pistils turn and recede, that is the indicator to break out the scope. Here is a chart to assist in when it is the best time for what you want.

Took a look with the scope. Posting it so some of you can see the quality. The problem is, you have to get right up on the buds to get an image, and then it’s hard to stabilize.

Anyway, here’s an image I managed to get, they’re not ready, as you can see.

Thanks everyone for your input and suggestions.
