How many weeks has the plant been flowering?
You should be looking at trichomes on flower calyxes rather than sugar leaves. Those on sugar leaves will mature much faster than those on flower.

Those are the lil leaves from the bud. I don’t wanna take a bud to check it. Does it matter if its a small bud from the bottom ??? I have like 4 or 5 huge buds on top. Don’t wanna take that just to test.

You have 4 to 5 weeks to go yet if the plant has only been flowering for 4 or 5 weeks. It takes 8 to 10 weeks for flower to ripen.
You need to. Just pinch a small piece off and look at it under a jeweler’s loupe or a cheap USB microscope. You’ll only need a piece half the size of one of your fingernails.
Yes it does. It needs to be taken from the top as the flowers up top will ripen earlier than those on the bottom.

PS: your flowers are still bulking up at 4 to 5 weeks. The flowers will pack on some weight over the next week or 2.

A little tip…the plant will be on her own schedual not yours (this was hard for me at first). You provide the environment and she does the rest. You have to work at ot to kill a plant its a weed! LOL

Keeping them covered will help.
We have saved the tomatoes till after it snowed out. Cold nights don’t kill them unless it is freezing cold. We always say cold doesn’t kill frost does.
With you covering them the frost can’t bite.

You and I are in the same boat.
Looking at the weather getting colder and looking at the plants and wanting to get them harvested and out of the weather before they freeze.
But we gotta be patient or we’ll be kicking ourselves come time to enjoy the products of our labours…and we realise we harvested too soon.
We got this…
