Couple of indicators I use, when she slows down drinking, your fan leaves will start to turn yellow, trichomes will start to turn amber. She’ll tell you when it’s time. All three just happened to me, made it hard to flush. I have 3 that are ready, I took down my hydro grow today. I’ll take down the other two after a major flush. Lost most of the fan leaves on one and other is turning yellow. I agree with MidWestguy at least 4~5 weeks maybe more. 
Cat side note are you using a Bloom feed?
Nothing but water since April. I gave it Miracle-Gro after the transplant into the ground. It was looking really sick. It came back like 2 weeks later. That was late April or early May.
Gonna check it on the 15th. Gonna hit 30 tonight. We had rain most of the day. I got somewhat clear plastic over it. Thank you for the help. I do appreciate it

Im moving my (potted) plants into the garage to finished them off. Im in Mpls & we’re having huge storms (rain NOT snow), potentially 2 - 4 inches of rain & 25 - 40 mph winds for 2.5 days.
Besides potential crop damage, its getting into the 30s at night
With another 3 - 5 weeks to go i feel its prudent. In fact im thinking of taking it a step further & covering them up (inside the garage) to give them ‘more dark’ & hasten the ripening process
Anybody ever do this or hear of it beoing done? Thoughts?

She’s starting to tell me. Leaves are starting to fade. Tri’s mostly milky. A few amber ones. Gonna recheck on the 15th. Thank you for your kind words and advise.
Trust the force Luke, patience is the key. Fan leaves still look healthy. Sugar leaves are the “little bud leaves”. If you haven’t invested in some “Bloom” feed do so now. I use Jacks Bloom and it works good. Longer you let her go bigger the buds. My guess is you planted in the mid to late April. When she starts to drink less water means she is trying to make bud and collect pollen to make seed and reproduce. Your right in bringing her inside but give her as much light as she can take. 18 on 6 off. When its time she will take 12 on 12 off. In nature thats around fall soltice. If garage is to cold invest in a space heater or bring her inside. To give you a perspective of where you are at, you are about half way through the grow. After the flower and bud you have harvest and drying and cure. so take a chill pill and enjoy the ride. Cat
You’ve got some nice buds growing but don’t freak out. I planted in mid march and have a DWC hydro I just harvested 2 days ago. Kola is 12" and 6" around. You can see it in the BOM. This one only grew 6’ and I have a soil grow that grew to 11’, but hydro grow is a beauty. Cat

Freeze is not good, you can make a frost tent and put some mulch down to try to make it through the freeze. If you can’t bring her in and you want to get some more growth add heat. The cold will do her in. unless you put cover over her and heat.Hate to see her go before her time, live and learn. Next time start your grow inside and put her in a grow bag or bucket. Not a total loss just hate to see so much hard work go to waste. Is it going to warm up? I’m in Memphis and we are looking at a cold front coming through but warming up after that. Light is my enemy. We get to low 50s and we go Brrr.
Where gonna frezze tonight. 32. Im in Southern Oregon. Its under semi clear plastic. 100 % water proof. I checked Tri’s today. Seen a few brown ones i think only 5 %. Gonna check on the 15th. Shes really sticky.
I’d check it in a day or two, cold won’t hurt just stop growing. If its real sticky it’ll prob. turn amber quick, you’ll know. Cat. When I grow I shoot for lbs. thats why a growth stop is first on my mind. because you have plastic cover you might sqeak by if it warms up.
Not gonna warm up. I wore shorts today mistake. Shes comming out on Sunday. Gonna blow my box fan off at work tomorrow. Wife had a stroke today. So really don’t have time for this now. Might lose our home.
