First time growing autoflower white widow and it’s buds turned purple it’s 3 weeks away from harvest also the leaves are turning yellow on the entire plant.
My profile pic is of a WW I grew last year.
Great question, I have the same thing going on. Mine looks even more purple than yours. My WW Fem. didn’t turn purple. Thank you.
Yup. Cooler temps bring freaky colors. Think of it as autumn colors coming out. Very nice looking all the same.
Also it doesnt happen to all plants. Certain progeny of certain strains are just more color prone. Some even flip to autumn colors without the temperature manipulation
I was thinking that’s what happened it did cold in my grow room a few weeks ago. Thank you.
Yep, there are purple white widow phenotypes and they always look awesome! Congrats!
This is how it looks today I’m concerned about the yellowing of the leaves.IMG_20211119_161456149|375x500
Hi @MSR81 and welcome to the community! I just harvested a WW this week and all the leaves had yellowed. My plant had been in flower for 11 weeks and was turning with the rest of the trees to their autumn colors. Are you still giving the plants nutrients? I had stopped giving the full nutrients about two or three weeks and the leaves got very yellow. Here is a photo of mine at harvest (albeit sideways😊):
Yep, I think with the plant being close to finishing its life cycle it can make the leaves turn. I think it is really cool that it also got a purple blush on it. Enjoy the harvest!
Hell i wish my white widow auto would turn purple its three weeks away from harvest
My widow is goin into week seven of flower
Tez looks like ur still least a month. I wouldnt be aiming at 3 weeks at all… hate those long flowering phenos but just not a keeper.
Im just goin to let it go until i see at least 10% amber then i will chop it . I wish i could chop sooner thou im at of smoko
Yep, then u gotta wait for it to cure a bit…
I know this is an old thread, I am new to this site so I have been reading a lot of threads. It appears that the buds are extremely over-ripe.
