Is it natural for the seeds to float on top of the water

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thank

I intend to germinate these seeds as suggested by your website and soak them in a glass of natural spring water instead of using the paper towel method. Is it natural for the seeds to float on top of the water is that what they’re supposed to do till they sprout or will they sink and then sprout or Sprout and then sink? Please let me know it is my deepest desire to do this correctly

Yes it’s perfectly normal. They’ll float , just soak them for 12-24 and should be cracked

I have never had a seed sink to the bottom of the jar immediately, they always float for a couple of hours until the water starts to penetrate the outer seed shell. Then they will sink.
