I did my very first grow in 3 gallon fabric pot…I noticed the roots have grown out the bottom of the pot after harvest…I’m considering moving uo to a 5 gallon fabric pot…still pretty new to this any advice or suggestions?
Yea I grew in five gallon buckets and tried out one 5 gallon fabric pot … and I didn’t even fill up the buckets all the way maybe left like a 1/4 of the buckets to add more soil and I’m running out of head room with a few plants from the distance of the light here take a look
To be honest tho I don’t really like the fabric pots yea granted you probably getting better air to the root system but there harder to work with when your doing stuff in the garden and water escapes through the sides of it and a bit messy 5 gallon should be plenty tho
I would think 3-5 gal is plenty big for indoor grows. Unless you have no height restriction, or plan on vegging for a while.
Thanks a million guys…I’m new only one grow so far…Think my biggest complaint about these pots is they seem
To dry out so quickly
Yea I’m gonna stick to regular pots and buckets lol
A bigger container can support a bigger rootsystem which means you can grow a bigger plant but that means waiting for the root system to catch up . It depends on how you grow. If doing one or two plants and a faster harvest isnt a priority then a bigger bucket is the way i would go. but i personally transplant from solo into 3 gal plastic give em a couple days to adjust then top them and give them a couple weeks to develop all the twins and flip the lights. The smaller buckets work for me as im not growing huge plants.
I prolly shouldnt write these things when im really high
