There are more and friends playing other tunes including a good buddy from the Victory church. I love those folks. Despite me being a heathen, they love me. I played 4th of July at their Cookout.
A whole lotta love was shared, and we did a set of old “Beatles” tunes. A good time was had by all.
Whadaya think?
What about were an American band by grand funk railroad:)
I do that, but not sure that it would work wiothout rehearsing it.
Drummer has to kick it, or No Go …lol
Ah right yea fair enough, heard it on the radio today on the 6 hour drive up to mother in law, as a young teenager rock/metal head that song still amps me up, use to be the last song we played on the flat stereo before we would jump into a taxi and off to a concert to see an American band
I just bought a new turntable to work with my Zoom L12. Sanatan’s new album is on vinyl, and it is with the original band from the 60 - 70’s era.
I would like “into the mystic” at anything they do when it’s my turn. Maybe ‘magical mystery tour’ too.
Capn was a good old boy. This list is an old circuit band songlist. There is gonna be some good old Local Blues and Rock legends and some old country and original artists.
Well…
Don’t you know. I got a call a couple hours ago…
several yeats ago, I signed up on Reverbnation as a musician. I was almost immediately contacted by an old scholl bas player named John. john was a retired Submariner. he ended up in the digital communications world. He played bas ghis entire life, and was in many quality bands both country and a little rock.
When we got together we worked for a year to put together one of the best Rockin Rhythym and Buse Country ass bands in the area. Made recordings and had a hell of a lot of fun.
Then came Jenny. I was basically forced to allow Jeeny in the band, and you all can guess the rest…I did get my keyboard player in the split…lol…Anyway; We still played together a lot because, if you are one to break up the band, then you may need help down the road.
I love John. Hohn has always had Lupus. after his youngest and last son greduared a couple months ago, Johm took Lucas and Jenny to Colorado and did the Grand Canyon hting and the high peaks. They had the most wonderful time.
5 days after returning to the swamp, John broke down into a somewhat schizofrentic rage…On and Off, on and off. He accuesed Jenny of being a witch, amd etc…etc… Johnhas always been oneof the kindest men you would ever meet.
Serveral days, several diagnosis, all different. At first one Er said…High altitude sickness…OK…All in all , the were 5-6 diagnosis, and 7 MRI and 3-4 C-scnas, etc, etc, etc…
Jenny called drying tonight to inform me that they have come to another conclusion, and he is losing all dongnetive functions quickly.
I was told on the photos whereas the healthy living brain is black; John had large sections of his brain appearing white. we all know that means dead brain.
It relieves me ot once again have some of you old Vets and Lifetimers to share with. I appreciate your sharing also.
This forum was built on retired, middle aged, and senior members, veterans, ex cops, medical and practitioners, who wanted to finally grow Cannabis after all these years. Give me a HELL yeah!
In fact for medicine: Mother’s and Father’s put their lives on hold for their Children with afflicitons forn Cancer to Epilepsy. This is why we attempted to make it the safest and most friendly Cannabis foum on the planet to privde a safe place for all to learn to grow our own “Neds”!
It is stilla work in progress.
Wow!! I just started reading this my heart goes out to ya!! I’m 50 a cancer survivor I am crippled with arthritis and going blind in one eye . I will never complain again … I will keep you and your family in my prayers!! God Bless!! And Robert couldn’t have picked a better person!!! Oh that song list wish you were here Pink Floyd!!
Just catching up. From Van to Beatles. Interesting. That tells me a lot.
latewood- I dont know if you remember it or not, but there was a song back in the 1970’s that might be a good song for your concert. It’s called “Thank you for being a friend” by Andrew Gold. I concur with Pink Floyd’s “Wish you were here.” Hang in there friend, if you need anything from me just ask. The load doesn’t feel as heavy when you share it with others. I know you know this, but alcohol is a depressant. Its just going to make the mountains in your head a lot bigger, and before you know it the bottle takes sips of you instead of you taking sips of it. You keep making music with others, there is no feeling like that anywhere! Peace…
Smott bubbles come out his nose. lmao.
Just a little too bubblegum for me…Andrew Gold, that is. thanks. I had a hell of a laugh.
I know it’s pop music, cough, eck, cough.
Glad I could make you laugh! How about Clapton’s “Tears in Heavan”, or would that be too sad?
Peace…
Erci wrote “Tears in Heaven”, allowing his feelings ot be known after his son fell through hsi penthouse window to his death; So, in some way, it has merit I suppose.
I have been wanting to catch up with all of you to see how things are going but, I have been so busy,
The Dr.'s removed the feeding tubes and oxygen from my dear friend John yesterday. 3rd friend to die in 4 months. I am a bit tattered and was up all night after communicating with and support his wife.
We are in the process of waiting for the inevitable. I thank all of you for sharing in this thread. Icertainly needed a place to let it all out.
Thanks for all your kindness.
Latewood it sounds to be a grueling time of loss. My heart goes out to you andv those you love that are sharing in the grief.
Keep the good memories close.
Witht hat said; I would like to wish our dear departed Will “Garrigan” Wyman a Happy Birthday.
Happy BirthdayWill. We all miss you buddy.
OK my friends here new and old alike. The waiting is over John passed away after dinner tonight, and I just ofund out. I want to say that it is so amazing to have like minded people to share with. Living alone and at Midnight, I have noone to talk to. Gonna watch a hsow and maybe work on the Hall of Fame a bit. thanks all of you for your support. lw
