Infrared light in the tent?

Just wondering if an infrared light in my grow tent would bother my GDP plant that is in its 6 th week of flower? I had an extra camera so put it in the tent. I was having issues with my lights going off in the middle of their on period so put the camera in there to confirm it.

Piece of black electrical tape over light.
I use green light when working with them lights out if needed never had issues.
I would cover red just as a precautionary move

Thank you

If you’re talking about a single led indicator light then no absolutely not going to bother it at all.

I started out growing photos and never understood the whole total darkness thing. Honestly, i would laugh when i would go outside and see the big moon in the sky and all of the plants doing just fine.

I never worried about light leaks and yes i built the system to be pretty dark. I never had a plant hermie.

Yes, i know that indoor grows are so much different than outdoor grows, but i honestly believe 50% of the light thing is bro science.

If I’m wrong, please post links to legitimate proof. I’m always up for learning.

Your belief is correct from my experience.
These are 3 spaces i have in flower now.
All 3 have huge open spaces fir airflow and i do nothing to stop “light leaks”.

Flap removed on all 3 sides.

6in hole and 1½in gap at bottom of door.

My big tent with flaps on both sides wide open.

Before i saw that video, I was doing all kinds of crazy stuff absolutely terrified of “light leaks”

After watching Bugbees video, I don’t worry one bit about light leaks or opening it during lights out, even turning the light on for short periods to see what im doing if needed.
Never had a plant re-veg and never noticed any other ill effects
