Indoor no-till experiment: the permajournal

Pistils on Gerty are already turning a little bit. Good frost formation on both…

Then they’re a little lighter green than I’d like. Not sure… I’ll give it a few days. I’ll innoculate Sunday so nothing extra until after that…

A lot of folks here have talked about DGC, dude grows, I’ve been checking it out. They were talking about a similar concept regarding fungus and cannabis roots. If I understand it correctly, the fungus forms a symbiotic relationship that literally expands the surface area in that it allows for maximum uptake of readily available nutrients. There’s products like restore soil treatment which helps to establish a healthy biological system, encouraging this environment of maximum nutrient efficacy.

Inoculated over two days cuz I made five gallons. I’m all over the damn place with water so it’d be a miracle to know that there are any actual organisms in the soil…

They’re still stacking but I’m losing potential everyday. I think they’re underfed in a big way.

No sweat, it’ll be plenty of smokable bud, but I’m gonna need to be more aggressive next run…

Some stoner didn’t adapt the timing in the post above…

I’m fairly sure this is not all thrip damage. I’m specifically looking for advice on what kind of deficiency I have here. I have done peroxide application in about a 1-3 ratio h3o to water (went really strong this last time) but far enough before lights on that I’m pretty sure the leaves were dry.

I’m 100% organic and not watering to runoff so I have no PPM or Ph available.

I’m under a 300w Mars Hydro QB at full blast about 18” off the canopy.

Temps are consistently between 72-78 f in the tent with RH low between 45-55 depending on watering mostly.

I’ve innoculated twice with a store bought NPK booster tea this week and about 4 weeks ago, otherwise it’s straight water (sometimes with molasses) sometimes with Molasses.

Soil is pro-mix, coco, castings, and perlite… no real amendments added.

Help??

(I’ve tried to add front/back photos of the leaves here to show that I don’t have bugs actively crawling around…)

Looks like bug damage to me. I would definitely get a ph and tds reading to determine if there’s a nute issue

First picture looks like lower leaf die off from lack of light, and thrip damage. Taken near the bottom?
The rest looks like thrip damage. Heavy infestations will yellow spots you’re seeing.

Man I want those bugs to F off…
I’ll keep on the peroxide, I’m not willing to use any other chemicals at this point…

But thanks for the feedback guys!!

@fano_man I have seen very few mites this run…
Spot on @Covertgrower that leaf was from the edge of the skirt, so pretty low
@breezy I guess I’m really in denial about those damn thrips.

Thanks for verifying.

I’m not the greatest at diagnosing deficiencies, but IMHO, in addition to the previous bug damage, it looks like your lacking calcium maybe @Budbrother can take a look if he’s around

So is molasses and worm castings are your only source of macros?

I wasent surde if thosewere eggs or the brown spots bleeding through … If u seen mites be vigilant as long as your in veg still neem oil will be a good option for most pests if your in flower seek further info before attacking…thrip and mite damage looks almost identical pray for thrips and prepare for mites you will have best chance thrip easy to control mites on the other hand… If you come to con lision u got mtes your not gonna like my advice
