No matter the nutrients I use it still turns yellow and spotty. Next time gonna go with dif nutrients, the trio as someone recommended for now I just hope this is almost done. Should I cut the yellow spotty leaves or leave em be? Also I Kno that when the trichomes are milky is when it’s supposed to be cut. But I guess I’m not understanding. Does anyone have an example of the trichomes what they look they when not done and when done. Google is not helping much and I don’t wanna mess this up. It smells so good and is soooo sticky!
You want to make sure that you look at the buds, not the sugar leaves. It looks like late stages of calcium deficiency as far as your leaves. Calmag with every watering can help. What soil/nutes?
Edit…Sorry this is a bad picture I didn’t really look, just read the print. Clear look like glass, cloudy will look like plastic. Amber, looks Amber lol. Here is a pic of one of mine that is ready And coming down today.
A mix of cloudy with some amber here and there (10-20%)with virtually no clear. The more amber, the more narcotic, couch lock effect.
Ahh dont worry natural die off is common with most strains as long as you have at least a few green leaves per branch then your buds wont suffer, some strains lose close to none and others start shedding practically as soon as they finish stretching
I kind of like looking at the whole plant as an indicator. This plant is coming down next week. Today is day 89. GGA. It’s used up all the nutrients in the leaves, and no matter what I do, they’ll never green back up, pistils are brown and retracting, buds are tight, and trichomes are all cloudy with an amber here and there. Those are the things I look for to determine ripeness.
I’m using fox farm I just got the calmag but was told once a week. So it’s ok to do it every watering? 1tsp per gallon. And I give it a gallon every other day. Then I give the other every feeding as well?
So there’s not supposed to be any white pistols? Once they all turn amber its closer to being done?
I don’t know about there not being any white pistils, but there should very few if any. A pure sativa strain might be a little different, but for the most part, most strains are a hybrid, and should be mostly brown when mature.
This is an indica
What r u feeding urs how much and how often?
I use FFOF a lot. And usually around 4 or 5 weeks in flower I run into cal/mag issues. You can give it at every watering. I use Jack’s nutrients and it’s easy to adjust the ratios when feeding.
It’s kind of difficult to gauge the trichs from the pics provided, but given the amount of white hairs from the first pics, I’d say probably 3-4 weeks. You want those hairs to almost all be red and receding back into the flowers.
Happy frog mixed with perlite and fox farm fruit and flower 4-9-3 per the instructions on the package. Then top dress with the fruit and flower after about 6 weeks. Then once a month after that if necessary, and that’s it other than ph’ing the water. I also mix some worm castings in when I’m filling my pots, and I use a little bio thrive bloom during flowering. Like two tsp. per gallon every other watering or so.
Cal mag definitely is needed. But you need to feed, you have a nitrogen deficiency, yellowing. Flush your plants once good then feed again… check trichomes after flushing… they may be good to go…
Use the smaller magnifier, attach to your phone and zoom to about 5… get close
Hope it’s done soon the buds are starting to weigh it down making it learn to the right ALOT
