well other than calmag the nutes ill be using will be what you call a single nute so i guess ill be able to tell you how well they work (or dont work!?!) in a couple of months!

Nutrients can be very confusing. I am on my 4th grow. I read this forum daily to pick up new ideas. Bottom line on my first grow I used the following and had a great plant. Not much yield about 10 grams (a light issue) on an auto but it was good stuff.
I use general hydroponics FloraNova Series for soil. I use Promix HP soil that has dolomite lime in it.
Bottle of Grow 7-4-10
Bottly of Bloom 4-8-7
Bottle of CalMag 1-0-0
I also had a TDS meter and a pH tester.
Since then I have added a few products and am following GH basic schedule. They do have an expert schedule with more products and I am looking at that for the future.
I have a budget for my grows (well my wife does) so I try not to spend too much on things I donât need but I needed the above things. I am a best bang for your buck sort of guy.
I did skimp on lights and am paying for that now. Should have bit the bullet and purchased one good light. Live and learn.

The only advice I can give you in addition to everyone else is listen to what everyone else is saying. Haha They are spot-on. I joined the Forum in December, but I read The Forum on and off for at least a year before I joined. my last 3 grows got better and better each time. no joke, its thanks to all the guys/gals on this forum. Listen to what they say, write everything down, and slowly but surely over time itâll get better and better. Be happy you found the best growing Forum on the web. Iâve read them all but this is the best. I donât even bother to look at other sites anymore. There isnât a need to 
Everyone on the Forum wants you to succeed and wants you to be happy with the quality of meds youâre growing. Itâs next to impossible to find a forum that has support for members as good as this one. Anyway Iâm babbling good luck and enjoy your growing! If you have a question donât be afraid to ask.

The old timer mag, probably the same or similar. And the pk 4-8, thatâs a bloom boost. Same stuff, different names.
Itâs really just a game you at least try and learn to play. What you donât want to do is be feeding the same things from three different sources. Which can be real easy to do reading internet testimonials lol, or mixing nute lines.
As an alternative to using calmag, you can amend soil with the Dolomite lime, and then maybe top dress later in grow to cover calcium. This will also cover some ph buffering. And then add some Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) to feedings. That would cover mag and add some sulfur which is known to help flavor and terps. But you wouldnât want to do that stuff, and then start cramming calmag too. Counter productive right?

Totally agree!! Best forum out there with very knowledgeable people here. And yes everybody want you to grow killer plants. Iâve been growing for about 4 yrs now for patients and they demand high quality ! This is where I found the help to get me to that point and I learn more everyday. Plus what works for some may not work for you so keep that in mind everyone has a little different situations but somebody here has been there donât that. Good luck man we will b right here

I actually bought seeds for the first time this year! I figured I had to give it a try after seeing the quality everyone was growing. I got some waiting to break the soil right now!
I donât know why I waited so long to join. The ability to hop on it anytime read through old posts, if youâre not happy with what you found then you can ask a question and literally within a matter of minutes thereâs usually a reply. Its Awesome!
Yeah you definitely know how good the site is too. Very smart to read and study up before you even planted a seed. I wish I did that when I first started would have saved me a lot of headaches. Anyway hello and welcome. Enjoy your growing!

I may get more excited to see everybodyâs grows than my own lol. Plus right now Iâm waiting for seeds to pop so Iâm on cruise at the moment . Just harvested 2 lbs though so Iâm set for a couple days

I know what you mean. I like to look at everybodyâs plants and buds through every stage and when possible compare mine. It gives me a goal. So many awesome plants on this site. Makes me want to be able to grow at you guysâ level.

I was the same when I started out. I read and read and read some more. Spent a lot of time on this great forum and then it got to the point that I was so overwhelmed I didnât know what to do. So I just did it. Started a grow. Killed some plants (not on purpose). Had a somewhat successful grow. Learned some more. Followed advice. etc etc.
IMO you grow, make mistakes, learn, ask questions, experiment and eventually you get your own process of growing that works for you. You add tweaks here and there. Eventually its holy S@#t I grew that and itâs awesome.
Bottom line you learn by doing and making mistakes and asking all of us questions.

Haha. Lol just a figure of speech. Lol actually I may smoke 1-3 joints a day when possible . I am a caregiver though and my weed goes pretty quick. I usually have to buy from a dispensary between harvests I havenât been able to get my timing right in 4 yrs lol but 2 pounds will b gone in a matter of weeks

Just like you posted my experiences have almost been through exactly at the stages you described. I agree learning from mistakes is almost just as important as successes.
