She’s starting to really pick up some steam and putting out a good bit of growth now. Shame I’ll be chopping her head off and slowing her back down very soon.

She look great really improving alot and don’t stress topping her man it won’t affect her much at all trust me she will grow just as fast now that she’s on the right path

Yeah, just today SHE’S put out enough stem up top to safely do it. Should I top mid light cycle, just as lights come on, or right before dark?

Honestly u can do it now if u like it won’t hurt it any just think when a plant gets injured or topped per se it can happen at any giving time and they pop back quick very tough plants man

Yes an no when u FIM u top just as new growth is starting so ur kinda cutting the new leave almost in half it tricks them into growing extra growth I cut the two set leaves then I topped it just above the crotch so that I still got the new but stopped center growth then I put a bit of honey on it
Gotcha…might have to try that. Just straight unfiltered raw honey right? Does it matter what region it’s from or anything?
Also, off topic a bit…but do you think this light actually draws 300 watts? I looked and can’t find any info. It came with the tent…I think it was topolite?
Do you think the plant is looking okay? Not the greatest lighting to see. It’s been hot (high 80s to 94ish) in the tent with only 50% or so humidity with lights on.
Should I not have trimmed up the base of the stalk? I figured I’m gonna train these two nodes out and under that will be wasted, no?

The light 300w but honestly that’s not what it puts out if u wanna talk lights @dbrn32 is ur guy for that and I wouldn’t have trimmed it yet cause it’s still small and has plenty of growing to do before u get it trained the way u want so look at it like this the leaves are like solar panels and absorb the light to create photosynthesis don’t want to get into detail lol but most don’t trim unless needed it’s better to just tuck the leaves if u can or pin back with what u use to LST with be careful not to damage them any unnecessary pruning or damage can stunt growth or stress plant

Just looked on amazon and the light only puts out 120 w.
Not the 300 advertised.
And if it’s a 2x2 tent then it’s still coming up a bit short. Closer to 200 true watts would be better.

If that’s at 120, then I should be at about 185 I have a couple little guys in there as well, they said 80 watts on those, but I highly doubt it. One is 45 and the other I believe is closer to 20. Hopefully it’s enough, because I can’t keep my temps below 90 most times. On a strict budget so I got a ice bucket outside the tent by the intake but that only does so much for so long in FL garage.
Good call, yeah I got a little antsy and was reading up on mainlining and manifolding and most seemed to be trimming the stalk up to the top node or two. The leaves I took off were pretty funky and not in the greatest of health anyways, but point taken. I need to relax a bit and not be on her ass constantly trying to get her to do stuff haha. How old are your platinums? They look like they’re coming along nice btw.
Oh and for that light, I have it at 18” from the top of the plant, do you think that’s good in veg? Thanks for the help.
