Highly suspect. targeting the main vein.
Killed my grow avoiding the plunge.
Apera 60 EZ backstops the Apera 20.
Five other pieces of junk that measure the moon dust, but not my water.
My fault for killing 2/5, but the three PH problems killed a grow.
I agree with you, but the medium he is using is organic and not adding nutrients. So as long as the chemistry of the soil does not change the ph will not change.
The soil has a carbonate hardness to buffer as long as it’s not messed with.
So, lets think here guys. Hes organic. Needs nutes and is broke.
Gypsum - Calcium… get your hands on a scrap piece of sheetrock and scrape the powder from the inside. A tablespoon or two will help with calcium amd possibly sulphur.
Can you get your hands on any Epsom Salts? Just a pinch or two will help with magnesium…
So, other things you can do…
Take a trip out to the woods. Find an area thay has been undisturbed and has alot of leaves that have piled up. Scrape the leaves down to the dirt and wallah, natures natural compost pile. There a risk of pests, BUT the risks are worth it. Scratch as much of that as you can ( make sure to clean any rocks, wood chips, ect out and water it into your soil) gotta do whay cha gotta do bro. In the meantime, save up for some nutes on your next grow and lets try to get you something out of this one… if you were close to me i have plenty of crap id give ya
This is amazing advice
@ChittyChittyBangin!
All great suggestions! Maybe even some wood ash? Great source of many other flowering Marco and micro nutrients!
Or if you can scrape up 20 bucks, you can go to walmart and get a bag of worm castings, make a tea, and feed away!
This too! Get a coffee can and make a fire in it. Find good hardwood branches and make a pile of ash. Just about a tablespoon is enough. Just dont overdo the wood ash, it can be finicky. ( use paper to start fire, no chemicals, you want as clean ash as possible)
Awesome advice for a man on a budget ![]()

And I just want to add for anyone read this now or in the future, I am not saying in away way ph is not important. Ph is crucial and a plant will die if it is not within an acceptable range.
But if you understand, what causes PH and the chemistry behind it you can get away without affecting it.
Synthetic nutrients are a must for checking and adjusting, both ppm and ph.
Organics is a balance between alkaline and acidic you can use one to counter act the other, nature doesn’t ph and rainwater is pure…
I will be buying one in a few weeks
@ChittyChittyBangin @Autos-only @Borderryan22 thanks so much for the help and advice. I am totally grateful and very appreciative for all the time and generosity.
I was able to read into more of my calcium solution that I have with the egg shells and water that has been sitting in my shelf for 2 months since I made it With some Epsom salt I can provide the Cal-mag that is needing right? I also live in the desert lol so no woods around me but I haven’t had any problems since till now so the soil has been doing okay I have been seeing progress every week. I have been using water bottles that has a PH 6.8. Is all I know.
Also one question, what if I added more of my flowering soil which does have the essential nutes for flowering on the top. Like top dressing. with me watering from the top wouldn’t it eventually force the Nutrients that are in the soil to be forced down? Or would it take to long for that to break down.
