I’m trying to get it right, this is my first grow journal after messing up 6 seeds with 2 different attempts!

I’ve ran all my seed in that…lol gonna try the Mother Earth this next round…

That soil is a little hotter than some, so you can wash it a little for your seedlings if you want to.

Which one is hotter, the one I posted or the one eagle posted?

@Bodiefromthewire yeah OF is to hot I go with Happy Frog. #1 rule in growing cannabis PATIENCE dont rush the process. I’ve screwed up a lot but it’s how we learn how not to do something. Let them grow establish a nice little root base and some strength to her branches. As far as in inches cant tell you. You have probably 2 weeks in the cups before thinking about transplanting. I’m getting ready to start my 5th grow and I’m loving every minute of it.

Thanks, I really appreciate the advice, and I’m very happy when reading and seeing everyone’s success. It definitely is a process.

Everyone was a beginner once. My success goes to all those on here that have helped me. I’m still learning and am always open to advice

When there true leaves reach the sides of the cups then transplant them into bigger pots. Transplant in to Happy Frog Soil, that one you have a pic of has time release fertilizer in it. When the time comes to add fertilizer you will have problems with the one in the pic. IMO.

You are off to a good start. Are you putting a dome on them? Next time post a pic in natural light/flash.

They are looking good so far. Like the others said. You still have a couple weeks in those cups. No need to rush things. That is when bad stuff starts happening

Yes, I have a dome on them that I must with spray bottle.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the love! It motivates me when I see finished grows from you guys. I’ll give that big bag of soil away. I’m about to order a big bag of HF from Amazon now so I can have what I need when they get big enough to transplant. I only have 20 super skunk feminized seeds left. I’ve learned not to start off planting 6 at a time, as I wasted 12 seeds. I now plant 3 at a time. Now when I get this system down to a science, I’ll start buying different strands.

Update: 12-1-20 Day 8 after planting

I gave the girls a few water bottle squirts, and refilled the humidifier. They all look great. The one in the back looks like it’s taking off. The one on the left is leaning a little, and looks like it’s starting to stretch.
Should I lower the lights or keep everything the same?

May not hurt to lower the light an inch or two. Otherwise I’d let it be

Update: 12-3-20 Day 9 after planting

I must say, they look like they’re coming along well. The biggest one with the most leaves has roots that are visible. The one that looks like it’s stretching, I placed a small box under it that brings it 1 1/2 to 2 inches closer to the light. The other one seems well.
I enjoy all the live and advice, without you guys, it’s safe to say I wouldn’t have made it this far.

Another week or so and they will be ready for new Homes. You can probably lose the domes now if you haven’t yet going forward be careful spraying them. Those droplets then into tiny parabolic lenses that will burn holes right into your leaves. At this point concentrate your spraying onto the soil and not the plant itself. Still be very careful to NOT over water

Update: 12-4-20 Day 10 after planting.

Daily routine of refilling humidifier and giving the girls a few squirts. I followed @Ironman26 advice and avoided spraying the plants and focused on the soil. Also I removed the dome from the plants. I must say, that after moving the plant with the stretch closer to the lights, it looks like it evening out. They’re growing, and I’m excited as this is the furthest along I’ve gotten after 2 failed attempts. As they are developing more, my question to you guys.

When should I transplant?
What mix should I use? (OF/HP/Perlite)

Also I have the 5gallon fabric pots ready, and I have a 3 gallon bucket to mix it in.

Wait until the true leaves not the first single blade set are at least to edges of the cup. When you transplant be very careful to not disturb the roots and try to not lose the dirt they are in. Don’t shake them loose or anything. Just slide it out of the cup and place it into the new pot. As for dirt I used Happy Frog no extra perlite for me. That’s your choice though. Ocean forest has more nutrients already in it though remember that. Probably this time next week you might be getting close to potting up. You can see the delay involved with the one that got knocked over now. The other two are considerably further along. Probably time to get a fan going on low speed but not pointed directly at them

Your transplant will add very little if any stress on the plant if done as said above…:+1:
