I know its easter but help please if able

Hello evryone so im kinda slightly panicking while keeping cool if that makes sense but my problem is that i cant get my runoff ph up.

so to start im day 30 and everything to this point has honestly been going phenomenal for my first grow imo. im in half ocean forest and half happyfrog with 20ish percent of worm castings. when i transplanted from my solo cup to 3 gallon pot i added in the recommended feeding of gaia green 4-4-4, theyve been in the 3 gallon pots for probably 2 weeks now if not slightly more and ive topped them each once and tied down top branches to start the even canopy process. temps 77 day 68-70 night 600ish ppfd at canopy height rh 63% always . some of that irrelevant to ph but wanted to give everyone the scoop.

now today marked day 9 of no water and no signs of needing water until last night it looked as if towards end of the day cylcle leaves started to droop slightly maybe ( maybe just nervous of not watering for so long). but pots were feeling very light so i let the night cycle happen without watering and then watered this morning when they woke up. this is my first real water to runoff because my plants were to small to this point to water till runoff. last time i watered i had VERY MINIMAL runoff like just enough to get a reading ph and ec (both blyu lab calibrated pens) and it was like 6.1 and ec pretty high but plants were responding well and even had ‘‘painted nails’’ at least i believe after researching. so today when i watered i figured i would give water at ph of 7.0 to try and bring that soil ph up a little bit to try and hit that 6.5 sweet spot. watered very slowly with .3 gallons and allowed the soil to soak it all in and then runoff. when i measured the runoff it was down at 5.8 so i got more water at 7.0 and added more again slowly and remeasured the runoff it dropped to 5.6 and im like hmmm wtf. so from my understanding you dont overwater from amount of water you give at one time but how frequent you water so again i grabbed more water and upped ph to 7.5 then watered slowly measured runoff and it was 5.8. so now im panicking a little because my research and knowledge of what to do now is depleted. so one last time i got water and watered with 7.5 ph water measured runoff and still 5.8. at this point im just flushing and washing away nutrients and i know thats ok to try and correct the soils ph but its not changing. is there something im missing does the ph of the organic style grow im doing matter as mush synthetic nutrient fed soil? im not sure what to do at this point and i dont want to hurt the plant by trying to overcorrect something. plants look good and havent showed issues up to this point but trying to prevent problems rather than correct them and damn sure dont want to create the problem myself! any input or knowledge and guidance would be GREATLY appreciated! thanks growmies in advance.

Im not seeing any signs of lockout or ph issues… i wouldnt freak out just yet. If youre going the organic route, keep watering with plain tap ( degassed for 24 hour if needed )… what does your plain tap ph at @tryingtotry

I would def get you a 5 gal bucket, filler up, put her in a dark space (light will grow algea) and allow her to degas. Check your ph. I would ph in at 7.5. Allow her to sit in it like a wet diaper. Keep in mind to watch your new growth and overall look of the plant. Ya dont wanna shock her too bad. We can bring it up, but we want to do it slowly. Youre doing great, lets let her dry out of whats been done so far. With organics, its a little slower recovery, but theres nothing really to worry about. Your soil is buffered. If you have any questions just hit the @ sign and tag me. @ChittyChittyBangin

well water doesnt have chlorine in it though, ive let my water set out for 48 hours at very begining of grow and measured the ph before and after and the ph didnt even move a point. would you still recommend this or is the degassing for chlorine?

Whats your ppm of your well water and do you have any sulfur issues?

i cant remember the exact ppm on the 500 scale but i do know the ec was .3 and no sulfer its mainly calcium or magnesium based off the white on my dishes from dish washer and white that builds up on shower over time

Id just keep on doing what youre doing bro. Watch your girl, and she will tell you whats up. Using GG and castings, youll be fine. Dont worry about checking your ppms or ph unless you start having issues. Overthinking wiill drive you nuts. Happened to me until umi got a few grows under my belt.

that being said it doesnt seem that high to me as you are not supposed to use a ph meter on distilled water because it can ruin your ph pen and i was gonna just water with distilled water but i emailed blulab ( the maker of my ph pen) and asked what is the minimal ppm or ec that is ok to use my pen on and they said in order to use ph pen without damaging it the recommended ec at the minimum for safe accurate readings for my pen is .3 ec so i figured perfect! my water must not be that bad???

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong since I haven’t done a soil grow in a while. I wouldn’t worry too much about runoff ph. As long as you have good dirt and ph the input you should be ok. The burnt tips look like they got a lil thirsty but otherwise ok

the tips have been like that for 4 days now with no change and leaves were still praying and i just watered today. i initially thought it was a deficiency that the plant was lacking something but after research on here i found its called painted nails where the plant is taking on max nutrients without hurting it as they are yellow tips but not burning and crisping. hopefully this assessment was right.

You are correct with the painted nails.

Exactly, I usually get them when I’m pushing the plant hard and miss a watering. They won’t go away but the new growth should be healthy. Just my experience with coco. They look happy and heathy so I wouldn’t worry.

thanks i try to research on here first without posting as i know repetitive questions can be annoying for seasoned growers but still sometimes i like to know or hear feedback on what im thinking or comprehending with my research. and today i kind of panicked with the whole runoff and ph thing as it was a right now problem so i quickly posted. im seeing now after looking around i may of jumped the gun and with organic grows this isnt that uncommon and isnt really aproblem if your plants arent showing any signs of a problem. but still thank you guys for your responses and i will keep an eye on them. THANKS AGAIN
