I hope this can help a beginner with Nutrients

This is my second year of growing. Last year I was semi successful 3-4 oz per plant and some big nuggs, but I was fighting nutrients and pests with each grow. Last year I used soil. This year I wanted to try Coco and deep water culture. In addition, I found a nutrient system called the Lucas method. For my DWC I use 8ml of General Hydroponics Micro and 16ml of bloom. For my Coco I use 6ml of micro and 9ml of bloom for each feeding. I PH before each feeding as well. I am no longer fighting pests and the two I have growing right now are the healthiest I have ever grown. Big beautiful leaves and just starting to flower. I hope this might help a beginner looking for the easiest way to manage nutrients. I know it can be frustrating, but Lucas made it real easy. I’m sure their are better nutrients to use, but this is helping me learn without massive failures. I am just amazed at the difference and excited about this years journey.

I’m a soil guy. Coco and Hydro are out of my realm of knowledge.

I thought so too, but I have found it easier to control the Nutrient balance because it only gets what I give it. That said I’m for whatever works. What are you growing now?

Gorilla Glue, GG clone and a street seed plant.

Sounds good. Gorilla glue is on my growit list. Maybe next year. I hope it goes well for you.

It’s gone as easy as one can expect. I’m less than a week from harvest.

I highly recommend this strain because it was like cruise control for growing.

I will give it a try for sure at some point.

Glad you found something that works for you! I have failed miserably at coco and hydro but my dirt grows are :fire:. There are so many ways to cross the finish line here. I’m all for whatever gets you those frosty nugs at the end. What are you growing?

Stick with the coco unless u have a water chiller or a basement with a cold floor. I am doing a dwc and it is so hard to keep the res at a good temp. I have a flowering 420 fastbuds bubblegum auto thats 4 feet tall in coco and the same plant in dwc that is only a foot tall the slightest mess up stunts them bad. My problem is having too warm of water afyer a couple days. Maybe this will change now i changed the lights. Went from. 3x. 240w lights to 2x 260xls and 2x 30uva bars. I cut out 240w. Not as bright but better lighting lol.

I totally agree…what ever gets you to filling up some candy jars full of beautiful nuggs, do it. I am growing one mother grandaddy purple and one clone of her, northern lights and just started an Acapulco gold. I have never grown any of these strains so I’m enjoying learning about them and some different training techniques. What do you have going?

My DWC exploded…to big for my grow space. I wasn’t prepared for that. I do like the coco, both seem a lot easier to control my nutrients and PH. I have been learning new training techniques which will no doubt pay big dividends in the future.

Congratulations on getting a great line up yourself. Mid flower is a great site, the smells, the colors…which is your favorite so far?

Out of the current crop I love the ilgm banner. Very frosty, strong citrus smell with a kick. I just harvested a Godberry by freedom of seeds that is my favorite smoke so far. Growers choice white widow was dank. Gelato from I forget where was very nice too
