I have Thrips again!

I am battling thrips again, my bad for bringing an outside item in the room.
This time I am in flower got buds forming and I can’t spray.
I have decided to go with Amblyseius Cucumeris Predatory mites.
I have read lots of success stories about using them.
I also read up on how to breed them, so I’m setting up cultures so I hopefully don’t have to keep buying them.

I am just against spraying chemicals on buds. But thanks, if the mites dont do it I might have to go back, But I have faith in the mites. I have fought Thrips for 6 weeks before with sprays, but I was in veg not flower. Its a different game for me when buds are on the plant. Thrips have been my toughest challenge since I started the grow game.

Understood I get it. It is a naturally occurring bacteria and is considered organic.

I have used CJ before and Mammoth and Monterey, I feel like sprays are more of a Band-Aid than a fix sometimes. I hope to have success with mites and relax and enjoy growing vs anxiously awaiting the next thrips outbreak. I have had Thrips 3 times in 2.5 years, and it has been my fault every time. I had spider mites once. These mites eat Larve of both.

Thanks for the info. I will update in the future to let you know the outcome.

Tge more pests you introduce, predatory or invasive, the more bug scat will be on and in your flowers. Captain Jacks Dead Bug or Arbor Organic Pesticide are both safe for use until harvest and rinse away with a thorough bud wash…

I just got done battling those little bastards bonide insecticidal soap worked great for me I sprayed it every other day at lights out for about a week and a half

Good luck they can be frustrating

@JPhoenixX, welcome to the forum…thanks for sharing

I dont have them this bad as of today.
I have been using Mammoth cannatrol about every 3 days when I see larve. I have also added neem cake to my pots.

I am in my plant room every day so I watch close for these. I would be in big trouble quick if I only checked them 1 or 2 times a week. My goal is to try to stop spraying junk on my plants, I’m gonna see how the mites do. I dont mind some bugs and some scat. I hate Thrips!

Well I have the mites in a tent keeping them going for now. I never was able to use them because they need high humidity and less than 80.
I stayed with the neem cake in the soil and I sprayed with mammoth a couple times, I been clear for almost a month. All grows well.

I use PureCrop 1… you can use it right up to harvest and the planties LOVE it! Check out the ingredients and I think you’ll feel safe about using it. It works amazingly
