I could use some light suggestions please

Super nice ! I think I’ve decided to go with the 500 and the HLG 550 and get the Scorpion Diablo at tax time. Then I can use the 550 for veg and the Diablo for flowering. My AC Infinity tent comes in today by 3

I hear you on getting the best lights from the onset. I started growing a couple years ago with some hand me down HPS and MH lights. The heat in Texas was killing me. So after working my way through 4 Spider Farmer 1000’s in a 4x4 with some success. I added a 9x4(4x8x1) and the 2 HYPHONTONFLUX HPF4000’s.
I liked these for the bar design, Samsung LM301b and OSRAM chips. I added extension cables to move the Drivers outside of the tent.
My buddy got a HLG Diablo 600w in 4x4 and really likes it. It was a bit pricey for me and I was sold on the Bar design. So for price below $500 the HYPHONTOFLUX HPF4000 meet all the criteria.

I’ll start by saying majority of people here will point you to HLG and as I can’t argue with any of them cause I own HLG as well there are alot of other great options out there these days Viparspectra has amazing lights for there price and definitely produces some nice flowers they also have there new XS line with Samsung diodes and meanwell drivers im currently using a P2000 200w unit in my 3x3 and it give me some very nice rock hard buds even tho HLG puts out amazing quality and customer service there are definitely other great options that don’t cost as much

Well. I ordered my Blackbird but I was able to get her pretty thick off of just 2 GE lights I have 8 total now though. They’ll be used for side lighting and vegging later on.

What size tent a 4x4?

Yep  I’ve ordered the Blackbird from HLG already as this is an older post and I ordered a fan , filter , seedling mat , drying rack 3 gallon for my 2nd run and 5 gallon square pots for my 3rd run from Ac Infinity and 20 more seeds from I:heart:GM . Setting up my 2nd tent ( for vegging) when taxes come in and I will have a lil perpetual going in. Just need a drying tent. I’m trying to be patient and biy nice stuff so I thank myself later.

Very nice equipment all around ypul be happy with them all I guarantee it haha I run my perpetual in 2 tents I start seeds and veg in my 3x3 and flower in my 4x2 when come time to harvest I hand plants whole in the 4x2 once done drying I bag it up and switch my veg girls into the flower tent and repeat the process i personally don’t care for the drying racks sense the buds are laid on there sides they tend to be flat on the side there laying on

Yeah I got a few more things . I’m a bit of a computer nerd so the AC Infinity stuff really appeals to me. Plus having a carbon filter that scrubs your air in your townhouse is nice :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Carbon filter be here in a few days.

I grew my biggest auto buds with hlg lights. And I’m in Ohio so local to me.

Ok I get this but if the driver goes bad and or a board how fast are any of these other companies to answer emails or complaints. Hlg is on top of it like now. This is one reason I would stick with them as they back up their words with actions. I’ve seen lots of great grows from all kinds of lights but if issues arise it is so hard for one to contact the company about the problems other companies are u pay shipping and send the light back in we will scope it out and fix it if it is fixable if not we will replace it with a new one. Hlg is total opposite. They handle their customers right away and make sure ur grow is harmed the least it can be. Customer support is the key to buying hlg lights imo

Im definitely aware of hlg customer service as I’ve already had to deal with them very speedy and friendly for sure and i personally cant say much about persay Viparspectra as ive never had issues with any of my units but ive heard its better than mars, and spider farmers if that makes a difference haha nah in all reality im all for HLG 100% but not everyone has the money upfront for a 400$ light especially these days im more of a realistic grower i lile to recommend options that can fit everyone’s budget while still getting good performance

I hear you on that. I got two and haven’t had to make a service call in over 2 years of use. I only grow for 7 months of the year and added the $20 extension cable to move my drivers out of the tent.
I did receive my second HPF4000 with a broken, in shipment, dimmer switch. It took two weeks to get it swapped out from Amazon.
