Wait about a week and a half then take a very sharp knife or razor blade and remove tape
I was just thinking about this. When the plant continues to grow right there, the tape might “choke” it off.
To everyone that replied lol… I really fr appreciate the replies! No, that stem didn’t survive. I kept it to dry and it’s interesting to observe what it yielded as early as it did! Can’t wait for the other buds! It’s exploding rn

I use medical tape cause it’s sterile. It works! I’ve saved 4 or 5 nodes from my clumsy ass breaking them when I’m adjusting or moving lights. One Trainwreck node I saved this way yielded an oz. It was something about the way it grew after healing @Knivie
