So I was looking up 250 w HPS bulbs because I know I will need a new one soon and I ran across this LED replacement and I am wondering about it. Like comparing to a regular 250 watt HPS what is your thoughts on this? Thank you

Be aware that is only a 100 watt light. They can say it replaces whatever they want, but it’s 100 watts, that’s it.

@Growdoc that’s what I was thinking, so a 250 w HPS would be better right?

Yes, or a 250 watt led either one. LEDs run way cooler than HPS or MH .

I’d look into ultimately replacing your MH/HPS lights with gucci LED’s: double the light with 1/4 of the heat for same electricity used.
I run 800 to 1,000 watts in my 4 X 8 and do 3 pounds for 4 plants in that space. Normal wisdom is 32 square feet needs 1,600 conventional watts of MH/HPS.

@Myfriendis410 well I have an LED on each side of the HPS but yeah but yeah you’re right I wish I could get some more LEDs to go in here just don’t really have the money at the moment

@Growdoc yeah I know I wish I had the money, I would definitely make an investment on a good light and a heartbeat but I have a lot of catching up to do right now with bills and whatnot so all I can do is make the best with what I have

Understand, been there! Unfortunately a good light is a must to grow cannabis unless you want to venture outside with them.

@Growdoc yeah you’re right, I still have some okay lightning in there and my HPS is still lighting up so I was just wanting to have a backup bulb to switch it out you know
