Okey, i think for a first time grower i didn’t do to bad - concerning I’m grade R…
Concerning the other plants around my house - because we stay in the bush, at night (when there is no “power load sheddings”) most of the outside lights are on…oooops…
The plants for eg: on my stoep are stuck in the flowering stage because of the unequal light stages at night
Question - if i move them to a more secluded area, where there is no light source at night to disrupt there grow cycle, will they return to there normal growing/flowering cycle…?

It should if the day light is less than 13 hrs a day
The lights could be the cause of a couple things anything more than moonlight
Could be Stopping the flowering thinking it’s time to veg or wake back up
that could cause light stress and make them hermie and focus on making seeds vs buds
Now if it was just a few seeds in the whole plant I would say
she developed & opened nanners and self pollinated herself with female pollen
And those are normally all feminized seeds
This tends to happen when I let plants go longer or they got stressed a month or more into flowering
Hope this helps Bean
But it looks like you’re going to be in trim jail
For a week or two
Get your scissors ready

I think y’all are on the right track already by your plants they look nice and healthy
? Your checking your buds with a jewelers loop
Or a magnify glass to look at the tric’s
Before you harvest
Or do you just go by set times of the season
I’ve seen both so I have to ask
More of my curiosity of how things are done in your part of the world and your family and friends do things
I always liked learning different traditional ways of farming and pest management control & companion plants
Vs commercial farming or chemical’s in a bottle
There are many ways to farm vegetables & fruit
But I like to add things to the land vs just stripping it for my needs or use
So I look forward to seeing your family’s own sanctuary comes together

Thanks for your reply my brother, i truly appreciated it and

…!
Honestly you are going to
…
(nice to be part of the group and to have met you!)
Been nursing since 2001, met my wife at the hospital…
I am going to be honest, i know nothing about farming or growing cannibis… after i lost my son i started concentrating more on farming (self sustainable) - it helps me to cope… working in trauma i see young kids going through trauma eg. car accident nightly…
Want to buy a magnifying glass… to start of with - what is your opinion about the idea, me being a starter…
Will keep you (and the cannafamily who are interested) updated…
Thanks…
Want to prepare this part for when spring starts (September)… do you think i should use pots or plant directly in the soil…have to make beddings then, fill it up with natural compost from around the house… and yes that is a avocado tree growing, but still going to take a few years. Getting the most direct sunlight… and i will not use the lights outside of that part off the house…
Like i said… we are still going to have a few

Want to bread with a few goats… start beekeeping,
@Covertgrower is giving me, supporting me about beekeeping…

At least i am busy preparing the surroundings for it…
Will keep you updated - thanks for your interest

Go well my friend

I’m glad you found peace in farming and homesteading
By the way your plants are growing in the ground it seem like the soil is pretty good
Depending on how much you had to work the soil and what all vegetables & fruits you plan to grow
I would start with the local & regionally grown crops in ground
And other plants in pots that way you can use soils that are better for vegetables & fruits
I use tan fabric pots because are summers in Texas are in 100F and the tan attracts less heat
The fabric pots Help with under & over watering and they breath better then traditional pots
I would look up a jeweler’s loop with a light or a strong enough magnifying glass or handheld scope with a light
I use a jewelers loop and put my phone camera up to the lens and take pics and zoom in

Look up companion plants videos for your food crops
This will help naturally battle many pest problems and or benefit each other
Popped in my head and I wasn’t sure if I told you that already

Going to prepare that part off the yard for September when our spring starts… Want to make nice deep beddings in the ground, prepare the soil with compost from the compost heap…
Will keep you updated on the progress…
For now i am using “nameless” seeds that i have alot of… want to experiment with them first before i buy seeds…
Texas…wow…
Go well my brother…

Day 3 -
Weather wise it is still hot here in
being our start off the fall season…
Started trimming of the dry buds to experiment with…
Question - Being so hot here, will a week’s drying be enough to start with the curing process?
Smells great…!
Going to puff-puff pass her now…

Probably will dry faster then the week if it’s still hot out there
Trim as much of the sugar leafs and your smoke will have a little better taste
And burn cooler when smoking
Another tip collect your seeds in different labeled jars or bottles
Of witch plant they came from
So you can grow more of the ones you enjoyed the most
And as you get better more experience you can give the others another try
And if you still don’t care for the high just move on from the ones you don’t like
I store my seeds in the vegetable crisper of the fridge to give them the longest stability
@Mr.Mr.Limelight
Hi there… hope you and your family are doing fine…? Thanks for all your replies and advice…!
Go well my brother…

No problem at all bean
one of my favorite YouTube channels is bamabass just watching him build his homestead and a 5 acre bass pond
It’s like watching somebody build out your dream and learn different new cool things and do’ & don’ts
It’s So peaceful and just watching all the wildlife & the ecosystem him & his wife keep adding too
So this is kind of like that but on a whole different continent with my favorite plants instead of fishing and hunting
This is my buddy land and he pays me to subcontract people
what ever he wants or needs done around his property
I’m like the houseguest friend who also cleans his pool
These are before and after pics
He just told me he wanted to make it better

Ok will do
I think he knows how frugal I am with my money because every time I send him estimates or quotes
He says just do what ever you know what I like
And he buys his smoke from me
I always joke I’m throw a party at your house while you’re on the road
He just says leave a tip for the cleaning if it gets crazy
I would be to worried about something getting broke and I couldn’t afford to replace it
Maybe I’ll throw a pool party one day and just make everybody walk around the house

But when it goes legal he already told I can use his land
really he wants me to start now
I keep telling him he has to much to lose and the plane’s would see it too easy in that open field

That one probably made me the most self reliant it just took me being a adult to see it basically alot of ex’s

But now days besides farming and just being Dad to my kids
I have a small pool service and landscaping companies & we also do handyman repair work for customers
This how I pay my crew through the year when the plants are still growing
For the bus that’s my buddy’s band tour bus he’s a actual successful musician unlike me
