How we looking? Start date was 11/17

Taken me 2 years to get some PPM calibrating completed.
And just last week, ordered another TDS/PPM pen, just for more better numbers. Apera TDS20 in the mail, I hope.

Multiple grows with soil show me big changes during your time period 4-7 weeks.
Most important not to mess up now.
Sadly, I often do.

What do you mean by that

This also confuses me. Is it certain types of tds metters that require calculations? I never did with mine :man_shrugging:

I agree. I am not 100 percent sure if mine is but the people on the reviews said it was pre calibrated. I second this because so many people have told me that my calibrations were off and were stressing me the fuc* out. I am going to going to invest in a new ph meter after giving it some thought. I have the vivosun ph meter and I’m going to get the APERA ph meter. Everyone says it’s the best.

I would put money on this statement.
Other “soils” as well.
The problem becomes bag/soil storage.
What conditions?

My FFOF and HF are always high, in the begining.
Soil slurry or run-off measuerd.

Contradicting myself, My current mix of soil (very similar to FFOF/HF).
Benefited more from an initial full run-off and PH/PPM measurement upon up planting the solo-seedlings, than waiting for week 3-5 for checking.

My only need to repot soil is if it won’t dry in a week or, I need to split lovers.

As a consumer, I would expect, not hope, that my purchased product would arrive not needing calibration.

As a seller, I could avoid more labor intensive work and adjusting, if product was batch tested and included required sample for specific calibration.

As an owner on multiples, I can only know which ones work now, because I have the cal or standard fluids. SUX to hace to build the inventory with more stuff.

1980 dirt, seed, light, = weed.
Now
Legal
what a difference.

11/17 start date, soil looks dark, like FFOF/HF would.
Perlite would help ensure beter drainage, if HF was not enough to buffer the FFOF.
Like them, but still trying others, sometimes.

Tds is different from ph. Ph pens should always be calibrated

Okay I will definitely update you on this tomorrow when I water. I will let you know the ppms and ph. Most definitely appreciate you typing everything out and explaining!

TDS/PPM should also get confirmation that calibration is correct, I would add.

Your gona make me check the papper i got with my tds pen to double check

Not at all saying ur wrong just this conversation today is the first i have seen about calibrating tds pens :sweat_smile:

I know when i got my first tds meter it came with papers saying it was pre calibrated and ready for use but do have 1413 solutions might doble check it

As I said I would let you know so here are some pictures I took of the ppm and ph. Keep in mind though I’m not 100% sure if the ph is right because as I said previously I’m not 100% sure if it’s calibrated correctly. Waiting on the apera.

Green crack plant #1:

Those are the number I got for the first green crack plant I have. Let me know what you think!

Green crack plant #2:

Those are the number I got for the second plant I have!

How much did you water? Not getting enough run vs what you put in could throw some numbers off but the ppms seem accurate for fresh soil

4-weeks fresh soil
was above 7.0and 3500, originally.
A work in progress.
Good to know my meters both just past calibration with fluids and second confirmations.

I put roughly 48 oz per plant which is like 3 water bottles per plant!

The paper that came with My tds meter mentions nothing about needing calibration. So ima guess its just certain ones that need it? Lol idk kinda got me paranoid about it

Reads close enough for me.
And best of all, I calibrated it.

Gotcha. What size pots are you in again? Should be time within a couple days to start your drench to drought routine for them
