I have a 4x2 Vivosun growtent. My light is the VIPARSPECTRA P2000 LED Grow Lights at 25% and roughly 2.5 feet away from my plants. My medium is 50/50 mix of happy frog and ocean fox farm. I live in Ohio and it’s hard to keep the temp up in the tent so it’s staying at roughly 70 ish with 60-70% humidity. Which I know isn’t good. Trying to figure something out. The plants are on a 18/6 light schedule. I’m a beginner to this so I know I’m going to have to adjust a lot of things. When and what kind of nutes should I give it? I have the fox farm trio. And I picked up some cal meg just in case I need it. I have a oscillating fan on 24 hours and the carbon filter on 24 hours on low.
If you need anymore information let me know!
That temp and humidity is fine. Once you start increasing the light intensity it will add more heat. I don’t grow in soil but the So-Fi looks a bit damp but that could be freshly watered. Might want to try putting a solo cup or something over the plant and watering around it so you lower your risk of dampening off and helps the roots search for water.
You won’t really need the filter until flower, but some plants do get skunky in veg (mine did). Otherwise, the plants look just fine.
I know soil people will want to know your pH going in and runoff pH and ppm numbers.
Exactly I know a bit about this! I have a ph and ppm meter. However. I’m not too sure how to measure the ppm when first planting. My other concern is I’m wondering when I’m supposed to be adding nutes and what best nutes to add, I started this plant on 11/17 and seems like they are taking a bit to grow compared to a lot of people already having a bushier plant
When would you say to increase the light to 50%?
The nice flat leaves on green crack tells she is happy with the light but try to turn it up now and watch her for shape. Photone might be good for you. Warmer would be faster, dont overwater theyll be good.
Lotsa drain holes, what size pots
I did about 20-30% for the first 2 weeks in seedling stage, then upped after that. However I’d agree with @Jaysittinback and measure your light output. I personally use this. Amazon.com
Then keep seedling around 200-300 PPFD, then 400-600 in veg, then up to 800-900 in flower. Of course you want to watch your plant and how she responds so adjust as needed. For example to keep node spacing tighter etc.
With the FF soils, you shouldn’t need to worry about feeding or checking ppm yet.
Auto on 18/6. It is in straight coco. The veg growth was pretty rapid. About 30 days in and I dont anticipate changing my schedule. I may be wrong? I was understanding with autos the light schedule indifferent? It is just beginning to flower… and stink

Look into reptile heat lamps, I hang a few of these in my tents when the temps are low in early veg. Too cold can stall early growth
There are holes around the whole pot at the bottom but I’d say 3 gal.
I will turn the light up and monitor and post again in a few weeks. It should get the temp up as well!
When would you say I need to first feed and I’m confused on how much I should be giving each individual plant because the bottle only says 15ML per Gal.
I was able to convert Jacks over to teaspoons. I’ll have to double check when I can what the ratios are.
I’m using Fox Farm Trio.
1 tsp = 4.9 ml
I’m doing my first grow in Ohio and a 2x4 tent also and in my basement. I ended up putting a small low wattage heater in my tent to keep around 70 when the lights go off. I’m at week 5 since sprout. Humidity I can control with the dehumidifier temp was another issue that’s why the little heater in the tent. Happy growing.
California orange

Hi 4 to 6 weeks is an estimate, soil (runoff) testing is more accurate.
By then the plant will be bigger with more roots and you will probably best mix a whole gallon.
My 2gal pots absorb around 1.5 quarts. Maybe more, I dont go for runoff.
I found the map but it doesnt tell beyond 18" and they might fudge the numbers a bit I dunno Vipar’s reputation there.
What would you say the ppfd should be going forward? When will I know to flip to a higher ppfd. I’m using the photone app.
Around 400 by now.
@Serf listed the numbers up there.
Guidelines eh. Your plant might like 420, maybe 500. Start with 400 and keep an eye out
