How to get clones out of container

Any suggestions how to get them out without having the dirt fall apart?

Once they are established, the root ball should hold the majority of it together.Put the stem between your two fingers and turn upside down and gently press on the sides while pulling up on the container. No worries just be as gentle as you can with the roots and give her some time to bounce back. Best of luck.

Also let them dry back some to help keep the soil intact :+1:t2::green_heart::sign_of_the_horns:t2:

And remember to support the weight of the roots and soil.
Years ago I knew a guy :expressionless_face: who didn’t.
Not me. Nossir.
Well, maybe.

This is less than ideal situation for most as it will take a while to get enough of a root ball to hold the soil together. If you plan on doing this in the future it would probably be worth grabbing rapid rooters or root riot plugs. There are some generic versions available too that would probably work.

Make a hole. Dump into palm. Drop in hole. Fill. Light water. Finish a binge watch.

I am with @dbrn32 here. As they are now. I would let them grow out longer till you have roots established better. I use rooters in nursery bags. You can just drop the whole bag into the final pot. NO having to remove any thing  I am in coco. So it tend to fall apart most time when I tried removing plants. If you were to cut the plastic, so each cube was separate. You could just place your hand over the top of the cube and turn it up side down. That is how I did it with dixie cups

Personally, I soak beans in a shotglass for about 18 hours, maybe a bit more depending on work.
I give them a tap at around 8 hours, and pray that they sink.
I grow in soil, mostly autos, but immediately into the final pot about 3/4" deep.
That’s me. Some great growers do it different, and with great success.
It’s all about finding out what works for you.
Sometimes, the journey is the goal.

I guess I had beginners luck the first several time I did this they slid out easily. ? Maybe nonstick oil spray next time …lol

You can always just cut the cells apart and then cut down the sides to slide the clone into its new home.
