@T-ray Spray it with a bit of water. Wait a few minutes and use a pin or something to gently flip the shell off the cots.
Make sure the seed lining comes off too.
Things should progress normally after they are off and the leaves can open up.

Yeah, you’ll have to pry it off, and just for future, when you plant the seed, try planting just a little deeper as the dirt helps pull the seed casing off as it pushes through the dirt.

@Dexterado Thanks. Yea, these were only about 3/4” deep with the tap root pointing toward the bottom.

3/4” is deep enough. Sometimes they just don’t pull themselves off.
