How to deal with ppm change when adjusting pH

Can’t seem to find answer to this on forums or searching so hoping someone can help me out.
My second grow in FFOF at day 45 with plants looking good. Have fed once before on this grow and may have missed this problem. Yesterday was going to water and feed to 20% runoff with bloom nutes. Did soil slurry test and pH 6.2 EC .95 ppm 630. So wanted to water at pH 7.0 ppm around 950 using Fox Farms Tiger Bloom. Want to add that I use rainwater pH 7.0 and always use Calmag at 4 ml per gallon.
Added Tiger Bloom to reach 960 ppm. This dropped the pH to 4.2. Had to add a bunch of pH up to get back to 7.0 pH. Adding the pH UP raised the ppm to 1310. I really needed to water so I just added more 7.0 ph rainwater until ppm got back down to around 960 ppm.
Was this right or should I have left it alone at the 1310 ppm. Would like to give as much bloom nute as possible so would really like to know what is the right way.
Want to add that I always use 2 pH pens and check calibration constantly as well as 2 EC testers which I just calibrated and they read almost exactly the same.

That is how I do it. If I want 10L of nutrients I will make 5 or 6L using the prescribed amount of nutrients for making this quantity. Then add 4 or 5L of water to get to the desired ppm range. Once I am there, I then adjust ph

Hey @beardless, thanks for taking the time. Was hoping that was the answer. I did it the other way yesterday just to be safe but want to push my plants a little this grow. I did 5 plants last time no training in 5 gallon pots, this time 4 plants in 10 gal. pots using LST. I got a nice canopy going with a lot of colas just starting to put on some weight and I want to give them all they need to produce. Appreciate the help.
