How to address deficiency

Could be! I think as long as I’m in organic (ish) soil I’m not gonna worry about pH. In coco I think it matters…. but I’m not going there anytime soon

Graysin turned me onto coco a while ago, I already had some plants in acidforest but I sprouted a new one just to test coco out, it’s a month younger than the others but is starting flower with them and size-wise is catching up.

Seems to me using coco without issues is mostly about preparing it right? Buffering it if it’s not pre-buffed, maybe a bit of extra even if it is,
(I soaked in ph’d cal-mag water for an evening even tho canna bricks say pre-buffered),
Haven’t had a single pH issue yet but we’ll see how the rest of flowering goes. So far it’s stayed between 6 and 6.5,
And I admit when I feel like feeding that one and don’t wanna mix up another jug I give it the runoff from feeding the ones in soil
Figure it’s still nutrient lol
*Also kind of like the idea of testing what the rules and limits are with coco. So far I’m liking it.

I like your style! Don’t stress too much about it, these plants are surprisingly hardy

That one definitely is haha.
I think it’s just really easy to try to do everything “perfect” and get obsessed with little things.
I do it, and can’t seem to stop, but its in a war with being cheap.
Had 1 bag of Ff left so my cheapness had me treat it with dolomite and mix it with ph’d coco.
It’s what I used to uppot from 3 to 5 gals and seems fine so far, runoff is perfect 6.4ish/1500-2k ppm

Well you’re certainly doing a good job!

Trying,. Just trying to learn from each screw up. So far been a few but the major ones were with room design not plant health luckily. Then little stuff like pot choices and budgeting…
Came back into growing thinking the room and lights were the main cost.
But little stupid but necessary things like plastic trays, pH +/- etc,. It all adds up and probably freaken equals my biggest light so far!

…and I’m about to buy even more crap lol!
I wanna do a few in airpots and a few in fabric pots to see which works better for me, so of course now I need bigger trays and pot risers since the fabric needs a full surface…(my plastics are just on those foam squares).
Ughh

It sure does add up! :woman_facepalming:
