Deficiency or something else

Hello, My mane is Randy and fairly new to growing and need some help.

I think I have a nutrient deficiency??? Im guessing its a calcium or magnesium issue??? or maybe fungus??

Its started out on 1 starting to yellow at the bottom with a few brown spots. I flushed all of the plants then gave a full feeding, thinking it was a salt build up or something.

Now I am starting to see the yellowing and brown spots showing up on more and more plants and some leafs fade yellow from the tips towards stem with brown spots through out.

Set up, 4x8 tent with 4 mars hydro TSL 2000s
Blue Dream Photo ILGM seeds, End of the 4th week of flowering
Nutrients Fox Farm
Grow medium- coco and Promix MZ, Worm Castings, Perlite

C02-Yes

Water when dry

Ventilation- Exhaust and Intake real good from top to bottom of tent

Flower stage
Day time temps 80 to max 85
Night Time temps has been 68 and 75

Day Humidity 50 to 65%
Night Humidity between 50 and 60, a few nights 70

Thank you, Randy

What’s your feeding routine, PH and PPMs going in compared to run off? Coco should be fed daily and to run off :love_you_gesture:

Anyway you can get some pictures of the whole plant up there?

At quick glance it looks like natural cannibalism of older fan leaves.

I PH the water between 6.0 and 6.3, the soil PH is 6.5
I have been feeding once a week and usually needs watered every day.

Yea I think I was a little to eager going from soil to coco and my lack of experience is showing.

I will put more pics up tonight.

Thanks for the help, Randy

Coco is great because you basically have total control. Shoot for a PH of 5.6-5.8, feed daily and always to approximately 20% run off :love_you_gesture:

You using calmag? The leaves look alot like the PH is off though, as @OGIncognito said lower your PH in coco. Good thing with coco is that it’s easier to correct issue compared to soil. Water daily, not sure on the feeding schedule of Fox Farms, but I feed daily with Jack’s 321. I would throw some calmag at it in PH-ed water to coco levels, see if that helps. I really think it’s more along the lines of ph issues.

Yes I have been using cal mag and Epsom one a month.

So being COCO I need to get the soil PH down to 5.8 and I am going to start feeding them every other day then every day if it looks like they need it

Again, Thank yall very much and will update soon

One more pic of the leafs lower down in one of the plants.

What type of nutrient issue does it look like ?? Im guessing calcium or magnesium

Coco alone is a soilless medium and for pH purposes considered Hydro.
Peat and sphagnum moss products can be hard to say. It depends on the product and what the manufacturer recommends. When I gave Pro-Mix HP a try I found this while doing a little research.

During the grow I started feeding (Jack’s) at pH of 6.0… Mid way I was instructed to the drop the pH closer to 5.8…
The addition of worm poo makes it a hybrid. It is not pure soilless or soil. So you have to find what pH works best. Not necessarily what you want when learning.

Fox farm nutrients recommends mid grow flushing so it is good you did. Going forward use flower feed schedule. Add calmag on water only days. Since you are adding CalMag additional Epsom salt is not needed.

I now grow in coco and perlite and use Jack’s as primary nutrient line. The combo is hard to beat.

Yah u have a calcium and magnesium def some cal/mag will get you on the right track

:point_up_2: the challenge of mixing mediums :love_you_gesture:

@randall67davis you have nothing to worry about. your plants that’s the plant feeding from the leaves and putting all its focus on them buds

What a great site, Thank yall very much, RD

Beardless, Thanks for the info on the HP Pro mix
