How high and how bright should my light be?

I am using an HLG 260W QB V2 rspec light. I would imagine different types of lights and different wattage of lights would dictate how high they should be above the plant at different growing stages. I am looking for answers particularly from growers who have the same light.

My seedling is 8 days above soil. I currently have the light turned up half way and 24" above the plant. When should I start turning it up?

I assume at some point in the near future it will go to full brightness and stay that way for the rest of the grow. How high should the light be and at what stages of growth? Thanks.

I have two of those lights I started out in veg stage. At 24 inches slowly went down to 21inchs. Flower stage I ended up at 18 inchs at full watts. There is some good videos that you can watch ,Hlg has to offer. I have a cheaper light that I use for seedlings

Per HLG instructions
36" for veg
24" for bloom

Thanks for the info. Where do you find this on the HLG website. I looked at QB guides and didn’t see anything about instructions other than the wiring.
