Hello growmies, and happy holidays!
Now I’d like to know if there are any outdoor growers here on the forum who operate very north.
I’m in Scandinavia and my summer runs happen about 400km sout of the Arctic Circle. That means I get very long days in May/June with no dark time at all.
I would be really happy to see how you guys do it, and maybe learn some new tricks…
Here’s something from summer '23:

I’m in upstate NY, but not nearly as far north as you. We have hot humid summers and wet falls. It makes mold and bud rot a real problem. I put my plants out in late May and harvested at the end of October.

Outdoor picture would make a nice calendar.

Oh, yeah.
It’s a damn good feeling when you go check your crop and plants look like that.

@DankyMcSkunkbud Thanks for your reply!
Mold is the main concern here too, I have usually harested everything by second half of August. Last year I had good success fighting the mold, Only lost a few buds to it.
I usually start my seeds when I see the ten day forecast giving lowest temps above 5c. I grow the seedlings around two weeks indoor before transplanting them out.
Because of the short summer I only grow fast autoflowers…

@kellydans @StonedCold13 Thanks! It is truly nice to spend time in the garden. It is ALOT of work with so many plants, watering by hand, lst, defoliation, checking the plants bud by bud for mold in the later stage, pests, stressing about weather etc… But this work I do gladly! The reward in the finish line is well worth the trouble.
I was thinking to make a journal on next summer’s grow, we will see.
If you happen to know any educative outdoor journals on this forum please let me know! I’d love to learn from experienced growers…
