Holes near my buds!

I use Captain Jack’s for pest control, and it works pretty well, but what I’m the heck has caused these holes on the leaves next to my buds? There are so many holes! I’ve found about five leaves like this out of my five plants. Any advice?

Unfortunately it appears the Captain is derelict in his duties. Something is munching on her.

Do you have any suggestions for outdoor plant pest control that can be used at the bud sight?

Let me holler at some others for suggestions @PurpNGold74 @Myfriendis410 @yoshi @Dr.ofSmokology Any others they may tag as well.

You’ve got pests. Better to get on a maintenance program to control or eliminate them. This will require you to dose your plants every 5 days or so up to harvest. Here are the two products that work and won’t ruin your crop:

i haven’t seen damage like that yet personally but have seen a few pics. looks like myfriend has you covered! i use Dr. Zymes for just about everything now but i’m not sure it works on caterpillars. i’ve seen that damage discussed when caterpillars and beetles were in question.

maybe it was @Chance?

Most caterpillars take whole friggin chunks of leaf. Those bastards are the green devils.

That’s what I see as well usually.

@Gracie I’ve been getting the exact same little
Holes from some pest on my leaves too and have been keeping after it with Jacks about once a week but it hasn’t completely solved it. Just reduced it. Maybe I need to try applying more often… I just don’t want to overdo it and hurt anything with too much bug spray too often. My plants are still in veg and I’m hoping I’ll have this well under control by august so I’m not spraying flowers with bug spray.

I’m not totally sure what it is and most seemed
To think it was aphids but I can say I’ve got the same thing as you.

Here’s a link to the thread where
I posted about it. Pest identification help needed - #43 by Naturalmedsman

It starts out looking like what you’ve got and progresses to what I posted in the initial post on that thread.

I’ve used purecrop1 with success on pest issues last grow and used it as preventative this grow.
It’s not cheap, but it works better than Jack’s IMO.

Fine to use beginning of veg through flower period.

Thanks for all of the help. I’ve got some sticky traps coming, I’ve also doubled my Capt Jacks to see if that helps. I’ve been reading all day on here and ran across where someone said they had to double the concentrate when making it. Initially I just bought the ready to use bottle, but then got the concentrate because it seemed to be helping. I’ve got the Earth D and apparently need to use it, but it’s been raining…have to wait for it to dry out.

Azamax works well also. Sierra natural science also has some great canna safe sprays. That looks like damage from sap suckers not caterpillars. Like purp says caterpillars take chunks. :v::green_heart:

Gnats but they will die off in flower :hibiscus:, let them eat, the plant will fight them off on it’s own to be honest that’s what trichomes does in the wild to protect marijuana from pest and animals! Honestly !

Yep , I’ve never had a deer eat a plant in bud stage after the buds become sticky .but on the other hand I’ve had deer wipe the plants out in veg stage. :+1::v:

@kellydans it’s real facts sir! I’m a human encyclopedia, I love reading :open_book:, im reading almost 7 different books :open_book:, writing my own book, and helping my daughter write her book, so reading is my passion, I get me a book and sit in the green house with me a nice blunt and a cold margarita or a nice martini and im good for lights on until lights out , chilling!
What I read and learn in 3 hours, took that author probably a life time to learn and now I’ve have all that information he live in 78 years , I got it in 3 hours, plus I have a story behind what made me the reading mobster I am today, it was a lesson taught by my grandfather when I was around 3 or 4 years old , and since I’ve always read and finish and write :memo: my own memoir of what I’ve learn from the book .
