HLG and honesty

You obviously have not had surgery lately, like mine. Current medical professionals do not want to allow pain medication addiction. They gave me 5 pain pills for hernia surgery and 5 for toe amputation.
My Mexico drug stash is better than the time wasted getting 5 pain pills from 5 different paper pushers.

Android photon app?

High noon summer, android maxed 33Klux.
UT383BT measured noon sun yesterday (PNW actually had sunlight, for a minute), meaured 1000 LUX and then I saw the small x100.
350R maxed around 75,000 lux.
50K at 25inches above (may be too high, but is blasting them).

Number 2 written on my hands after carpal tunnel surgeries.
3-gal cloth plant was max lifting and pain somewhere.

Iā€™d find a different hospital system or surgeon who is willing to treat pain. It depends on the doctorā€™s or the hospital systems policies. Iā€™ve taken 60 7.5mg Vicodin per month for over a decade for migraine. I switch to Butalbital (a dissociative for pain) for 3 months each year to assure myself that addition is not an issue.

It can be dependent on the person, but a 10-day cycle is scored very low on the addiction potential tools that doctors and hospitals use.

Good luck DR shopping.
Podiatrist, Hand surgeon, foot surgeon, hernia surgeon, eye Dr (recommends surgery- surgeon), Hearing technicians, all on speed dial. I outlived my hip replacing surgeon.

Itā€™s not a pill mill. The doctor is an internist employed by a major hospital system. Iā€™ve been with this doctor since 1987 and he has been voted (by his doctor peers) as the #1 physician in the city 4 times since 2007.

Cool, good to have friends in the business.
I am not DR shopping, just trying to fix neglected and failing body parts.
Owners manual never read, now regretting past foolishness and poor choices.
Like playing WACK-A-MOLE, just using a knife and remaining body parts.

I wish you well.

There are software tools that hospital systems use to pattern opioid use to assess a patientā€™s risk of addiction. So long as the physician is mitigating risk in accordance with policy and is periodically evaluating usage in accordance with the pain management contract that the patient signs, the doc is free to make his own choices. Changes to prescribing occurs if anything out of the ordinary (such as additional opioid prescriptions written by 3rd party doctor) raises the patientā€™s risk score. If the risk score reaches a certain level, then changes are made or the patient is cut off.

@sparker sorry to hijack your thread, but when someone starts a conversation with ā€œYou obviously,ā€ itā€™s difficult to avoid a spirited debate.

Not a problem, enjoy!

These are readings at 100% at 14" above canapy.

@beachglass, sounds like your light is not ramping up to 100%. You may want to get one of those watt meters,(KillAWatt is one brand). This way you can find out exactly what your current input is, and how close you are to the light ratings. Hopefully a new dimmer will fix this.

Android Phone? Photon App?
What does your best outside high noon sunny day sunlight read?
My phone did give similiar conversion numbers, causing me to be mis-lead (falsly secure or foolishly dumb) and not buy the light meter sooner.
I am re-reading, what light?
HLG lighting is probably better than our laymen instrumentation can measure.
I would rather pay HLG for their Scorp D than buy an equivalent costing light meter to figure out is a specific range is doing what.
UT383-BT measures up to 75Klux in my best tent and 100K in sunlight, outdoors.
No clue what spectrum, I want to smoke not think or work.
Not doing well on that plan.
The Kil-a-Watt meter showed all ranges controlled by UIS AC-ADL8-RJ-11/12 Resistor dongle,
just not much change above position 7, up to max 10. I dont run above position 5 (55K/820ppfd)
