First time grower . Plant with the buds was germinated on the 5th of January and much smaller . Obviously two different phenotype. The other plant was germinated on the 25 th if January which makes it about 45 days old and is triple the size but seems like it’s been stuck in preflower for the last two weeks. I’ve read some people say I should try to switch to a 12/12 to see if will flip it. The flowering sights do seem to be growing but the pistols are there but not changing to buds. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your lagging plant has started flowering and it will take time for the buds to grow and develop. Plants don’t get “stuck,” though you can expect some variance in time to maturity.
Keep track of when the plants started flowering. They will be ready for harvest 8 to 10 weeks from the start of flowering.

Keep in mind that time from seed isn’t relevant in terms of harvest timing. Time in the flowering stage (8 to 10 weeks) is the metric that matters.
