Og kush auto not flowering

Week 8 no signs of flowering… first time grower. Is this normal for no signs of flowering 8 weeks in?

That is odd for an auto. Usually 3-5ish weeks with the norm around 28 days after 2 weeks as a seedling. What’s your light schedule and are you sure their Auto flowering? If you’re on an 18/6 light schedule flipp’n that to 12/12, that’ll give them a little kick and if their photo periods they’ll start flowering in 7-10 days regardless :love_you_gesture:

I was running 24 hrs light but flipped to 12s few days ago. I need to take some exact measurements but they are definitely bigger than I predicted.

Keep them on 12/12 for the slim chance they are photos. If they are photos, not autos, and you put them back at 18/6 they will reveg and then you’re weeeeeeeeks out of your target harvest date. Let them ride 12/12, they will be just fine.

I always hear 4 to 7 weeks, but I’ve never grown an auto myself.

In the last couple of weeks we had someone with an auto that didn’t flower for 12 weeks. Just yesterday we had someone with an auto that had flowered at 3 weeks. Both were new to me. Is 3 - 5 weeks the most common in your experience?

The typical time has been around 28 days after the seedling stage give or take a few days. I was growing autos and photos together attempting a same time harvest…nope! Last year I kept trying and kept a fairly accurate journal and my average was 4-6 weeks.

Im in the same boat as you bro,im in week 6 or 7 and still no sign of preflower. Im growing bruce banner tho. If they dont pop in the next week or so,im flipping to 12/12 just incase they are photos.

It’s likely the 24hr light which is causing the delay. It’s known (by my friend @noddykitty1) to affect the amount of time it takes to transition to flowering for photoperiod plants.

At this point you should treat them as photoperiod and leave them on 12/12. And wait a little longer.

You can check branch intersections in the upper part of the canopy for female calyxes, these will appear a week or two before you see the pre flowers on the growth tips. When you see them at least you’ll know something is happening.

That might be the problem, idk. Ive always ran my autos 24 but who knows, different phenos or just bad genes.Mine has shown its female calyxes for over several weeks.

Same strain same issue. 7 weeks. Hit them with 48 hours of dark to shock them into flower Bc I didn’t want to run my tent 12/12 due to other plants being in the middle of flowering.

If you’re growing autos the 12/12 light cycle won’t affect a thing. I’ve ran 18/6, 12/12 on autos with great success :love_you_gesture:

I’ve seen a few autos that dont want to flower without the light switched. These girls usually end up nice big girls. I like to call them phautos, autos with a photo tendency. A few years ago, I accidentally revegged a cheese auto . She was an auto but revegged when I switched her lights from12/12 to 18/6

You may need to flip the lights to get her to flower. Time will tell :v::green_heart:

Its odd but it happens. Had 4 autos going on my last run. 2 from Ethos started flower at 5 weeks and 2 from Dutch Passion didn’t start til.week 9.
