These looks off to me. What do I do??
I can’t tell from the pics. Male calyxes will have no protruding hairs and are often on a short stem rather than being flush up against the node.
This is how one side of the plant looks
This is the opposite side’s calyx by comparison.
Also, does this look like these bud sites have been pollinated? I see red on the tips. They’re in week 5ish of flowering.
This sucks. I’ve honestly never seen calyxes cluster like this except in a male. It looks really off and there’s a lack of fuzziness on the calyxes that is worrying to me. Other sites already have hairs.
Would the plant survive if I cut off all its branches and left the top to grow or would it just also turn Hermie from the stress?
You can’t have a partial hermie. Once it’s a hermie the whole plant is.
Multiple pods at the nodes are going to be male pods. As you have female flowers, it is a hermie rather than a male.
Too early for that to happen at this point and it doesn’t really matter anyway. They will be pollinated when those pods open up and release pollen.
Ah i see. So you agree this is Hermie? Best to kill the whole thing to protect my other plants?
Correct, but let’s get another pair of eyes on it before you do that. My eyes are bad and I just had surgery a few days ago and I’m all wacked out on Oxycontin.
Lol thank you so much for your advice and honesty. Hope surgery went well and wishing you a speedy recovery!
I’ll tag a couple of growers that spend a lot of time helping the new growers since no one has chimed in yet.
@OGIncognito @Underthestairs @Spiney_norman: can you gents please confirm this as a hermie before the OP throws it out?
Thanks for the tag @MidwestGuy
I agree that they all look to be hermies. Sorry to see it. The last 2 pictures are clearly female flowers, but I see clumps of male flowers too.
Damn, thank you for your help.
Have I caught this very late? How doomed are my other girls?
Anything you can do with a hermie plant after you kill it? Can any of these sugar leaves be used?
Herm, 100%… first pic.
@fast-grow thanks for your eye
Planning to kill it first thing tomorrow morning. How scared should I be for my other plants at this point?
Absolute herm. Cull it if you have other plants.
Thanks for the tag @MidwestGuy. Agree and hate seeing that Grow Bro @Newbie12345
Spray the male pods with a little water to kill whatever pollen may be shaken off. It’s still pretty early, you may not have any fallout. No ready to know till harvest.
sorry to see that @Underthestairs its upsetting.
I checked on mine this evening and sometimes caught my eye on 1 of the top buds.
on closer look i see the signs gutted .
for hermi to happen its down to stress and conditions ect.
blessings on your next bloom circle
ps i will upload some pics tomorrow morning l i was that mad i just had to leave
@Newbie12345
I had the very same problem last
Grow, it’s very unfortunate, I wish
Now that I had CHOPPED my Hermie out of the mix, problems!
