Here we GrOw Again (ILGM- Wedding Cake Autos)

@Caligurl

The PP have that Z-Kittle look to them.

Did you grow the PP outdoor A-Z?

Curious to total time from Sprout to Chop.

My light HLG 135 will finish this WC in 100 days…give or take a few.

I am hoping for 7 to 8 Oz dried and Cured out I think is do-able off these 3 I got buried currently.

Fingers :crossed_fingers:

I would experiment do heavy de-foil on 1 medium on 1 and none on the last one and see what works best for you and your environment

I got the exact same PPM and PH numbers on all 5 of my girls with the last 2 feeds I couldn’t believe it
I’m running a little high on PPM from 1640-1900 @ full strength nutrients plants looking great so I won’t make any big changes maybe water down my mix after the bud set formula finishes next week
I usually am getting very low PH by now I added lime to my soil when I went up in pot size from 1 gal to 5 gallon and last event top dressed seems to be working for me no issues noted

Looking good @Caligurl how do you like auto’s vs Photo?
I never grew auto’s but I follow alot of auto growers not convinced it’s in my future though

What on average PPM values do you achieve for Run Off right before the chop? I Guess in a perfect world that would be 0, but dirt growers that can’t be realistic.

I was not PPM savvy really before now. Last 2 plants in the Can I did have a little aftertaste by not Flushing correctly finishing up the grow. I have got a game plan now. Before I realize I was just splashing Grow Lotions around just doing stuff aimlessly stoned off my A@@.

Have you ever Monday AM QB your past cures and changed your strategy on what you should have done?

Never checked it after I go water only and I only water for a week so 2 watering’s before chop have not had any bad taste I think if you do a good cure it would evaporate unless it was way overloaded
I’m also using Jacks they don’t recommend flushing its food-grade nutrients
The only bud I have tried from my last grow was Zkittlez and the PPM was @2000 before going water only and it taste great

Yes I went to final dry in plastic containers after hanging to dry then into grove bags instead of jars

I saw the plastic stackable tubs on your shop table. I think those would be a wise purchase.

As far as next up grow I am going to try 3 blue dream. In my space I don’t want to try different strains as I want them all same height.

I will try that defoilation method you spoke of though.

My Gold Leaf was part of that last batch with slight bitter on your tongue. Real pretty buds… When I cut that GL auto she stayed short. I am sure it has to be stain specific how much hacking and slashing they’ll take.

The WC autos I am baking right now you can take a chain saw after them.

BD get pretty tall you will need to do a lot of training ( great daytime smoke)
Here are my BD clones that sat in the fridge for over 2 weeks as cuttings before trying to clone them
I used some of what I learned watching @kaptain3d journals by bending these above the 3rd node 90 Degrees and training as they grew out it’s my best attempt at keeping a halfway even canopy

Seed dropped April 27.
In a tent until June 6 then outdoors in a 30 gallon container.
Chopped August 10, Trimmed and jarred on August 18.

Final weight of buds only 7.4 oz. 2 quart jars of trim and larf

Personally, I like being able to veg as long as I want to and do a lot of LST on them so photos are better for that, but I did have good luck with 2 of the 3 autos I did (Purple Punch and Girl Scout Cookie) but the other (Strawberry Cheesecake) was a runt but I still grew her out and got 2 oz off her with zero larf. Buds were super dense.

This is the entire plant LOL

You can LST then to have an even canopy. When they are young, you can put the smaller ones on a box or something to get them up to the height of the bigger ones.

Wow, Sounds interesting. I think I am way too confined in my self imposed space 22x22 to be doing any Right Angle stuff, but I saw something similar with a guy kneading the main stem when it became mush like so he could manipulate. I know I split the stalk trying to flex one of mine. I duct taped it and kept on growing equally well on both sides of plant. It was a oh crap moment for sure though.

I remember what you were saying about comparing Photo vs Auto… like comparing Prime Rib to Spam in a Can.

I don’t know if my “reality” will ever produce the Pungent …chase you out of the room, Reek when you open the jar after they are cured out. Think I need alot more lamp, photo, other Strain, and a heckbof alot more know how than I currently have.

I am expecting a better end result off these two new dirt bags I am growing out though. More soil rich nutrients.

I saw the Cheese cake cured out pics on your thread. Very Pretty looking buds cured out.

I am successfully staying STONED smoking these autos for now. I have been to the Dispensary Pre and After COVID in Colorado and the “auto” label as a whole is most certainly not the… I would rather throw it in the garbage than to smoke it weed. Not at all.

More like…Confidence builders. Like lighting a firecracker. Like a microwave dinner better yet.

When I used CalMag I usually stopped giving it at end of week 5 or 6 of flowering.

Noted. Now I need to get back to reading your “Gorilla Glue” dirt Tutorial. Fabulous thread. My hat is off to you Brother.

@spankyjr1,

Getting back to your mention of “Clones.”

With your set up do you think you could produce more weight maximizing your space growing plants from seeds or run clone Sea of Green, or doing what you are currently doing?

Is the labor worth the end result, or are you just Bonzai stress relief tending to the plants in your tent, and clones in your refridge?

I don’t know much about it other that how to root them and only try with a photoperood plant. I did read somewhere to take clones high up towards the top as the person was saying if your taking your clones low on the plant they are DNA to produce Larf not the buds the top of the plant yields… Only words to me though. Do you take all your clone cuttings high up?

Also curious to your thoughts X vs Y.

If it’s like trying to root any plant, lower on the stems they are tougher and woodier and many times just won’t root… that just my experience with plants in general

Yes using either SCROG or SOG would produce more bud
If I did either of these all work would need to be done inside the tent all bent over or on my knees
I can only grow 5 plants legally and it produces way more than I can ever use I also enjoy removing and tending to each plant on my workbench so I don’t have to be bent over all the time it’s not good for my back

I do a major defoliation before flip to 12/12 and put all cuttings into ziplock bags 1 for each plant to keep them identified and stick into the fridge then when I get time I just pick out the best of the bunch and stick into my Arogarden to root
I don’t think it matters if you take them from low/high on the plant IMO
When you are done with @Hellraiser GG grow start on his clone grow a lot of great info as always from his post

I second this statement and this is why I bought a net probably over a year ago and it’s still in the packaging it came in lol

I bought a net, but I am growing in a 22x22. WTF was I thinking? Mine is also in the bag along with 2 DWC 5 gal ready to go buckets. I may do some tomatoes just playing around with the DWC. I think my water is so bad Hydro would be tricky around this area.

I have no dilemma on what to grow next, or cash I want to spent right now on anything horticultural related. Plus I’m sitting on a bunch of ILGM Auto seeds. Gold Leaf, Blue Dream, Z-kittle, Wedding Cake.

Eventually I will try 1 photo in this space.

Yea I would love to have the Legal Freedom to spread out and not give two Shxtz about anything. That is not my reality, and I got others near by. I know HR was stating he change out annually. I am running the 4". I think the fan is 204 cu ft my box is 180 cu ft I can’t remember off the top of my head, but after 6 months of continual use I swapped mine out last time. I did stick my head up in the attic for the small check and all was well. Better to be safe than sorry.
