Help - yellowing of lower fan leaves

Need some advice - growing 2 Northern Lights autos (420Fastbuds) in coco-coir/perlite, 5 gallon fabric pots, indoors, using General Hydro nutes according to a schedule from cocoforcannabis.com, temp 75, RH 55

One of the NLs is doing great at day 40 since seedling, but the other is having issues. She was slow to germinate, slow to pop from coco, and now, at day 33, has been showing some apparent nute issues - yellowing of lower leaves and brown spotting on another fan leaf.

.

420Fastbuds says that NL “likes” a lot of nutes, so I increased the OC from the recommended 1150-1250 up to 1350 a few days ago - but I’m still getting one or two more lower leaves turning yellow every day.

I’m managing the runoff EC - if it is more than ~200 points above the input, I keep giving more until the runoff EC gets back in the desired range. And I’m setting the pH in the recommended range, 5.8 - 6.2, varying it from day to day within this range.

Other than the yellowing of lower leaves, the plant looks ok - except she is much smaller than her sister NL1. Here she is yesterday:

Should I do anything different?

Nope. It is normal for a plant to shed its lower leaves as it ages.

OK, that’s good to hear! - but why is the other NL plant, growing in the same conditions, not getting any yellow leaves ? (nor are 2 OG Kush autos I’m growing at the same time).

I’d agree with Midwest, yellowing from the bottom up is typically a natural progression, the opposite would definitely be cause for concern though. She looks great. Your off to a good start. :+1:t2:

They’re individuals and will respond differently like children from the same parents, it could simply be a geno/pheno thing. The pic of the plant shown looks great.
