Help with my first grow

Hey there smoking family.i have a few questions.first I live in so central Missouri, and our summers can be quite hot and very humid. I plan to grow outside in pots, and really don’t know where to start. I would like to grow gorilla glue as I am disabled and am in constant pain, so ANY help would be most welcome with growing here or better strains for where I live

I would think just about any strain would grow there. It’s the rain in fall that causes more bud rot. Shorter flowering times are always better. Gorilla glue is a definitely a great strain to start with.

Hey thanks for the info and support. Yeah here in the ozarks it seems like nature turns the tap off, shoot at times in the fall we cant even buy a rain drop, lol. Thanks for the info on the gorilla glue, it is my first choice and La confidential by ILGM is my second choice I am looking to use coco coir as my growing medium. Any suggestions

I tried coco coir after a few grows in soil. It didn’t go very well for me, but instead of switching back to soil, I happened to stumble upon Mother Earth Coco Peat. It’s a mix of amended soil(with nutrients), Coco Coir, and Perlite. It’s worked great for me ever since. If you do use Coco Coir, make sure it’s pre buffered, and you need to use a cal/mag product with every watering.
Good luck, and welcome!

Coco requires daily supplements. If you are home and can water daily then coco is a good choice and can get some sensational growth.

It is far more technical than just putting out plants in (correct for cannabis) soil and watering every few days. In any event you should start a list of things to have on hand when you need them. First and foremost is a PH meter followed by a TDS meter. Do NOT use one of those cheezy 3 in 1 meters: I’m talking about a digital meter that requires calibration.

Look at fabric pots for increased O to the roots: most of us use them. Cannabis optimized soil: NO MIRACLE GRO!!!

@Not2SureYet is a great indoor coco grower and can give you some pointers. @big123 has a killer outdoor grow in Northern California so if wanting to be inspired…

Hey thanks family for the info but, I am not sure what a tds meter is. Before I start my grow I want to get everything in place. So, any suggestions will be great

It is some thing like this. I use one of these cheap ones for the TDS. And a better one for the PH
